Im just saying there shouldn’t be a single G5 team that we can’t compete with. It’s embarrassing to suggest or expect otherwise.

Regarding lifers comment about quality…that’s an embarrassing picture of Gary Joseph. How did a picture with his eyes closed end up in the cover? That’s really, really bad.

I get it mostly for the high school coverage, so I can see how you might not be a fan if you don’t care too much about high school football. Having said that, I’ve always felt like they’ve done a good job giving all school equal coverage based on their peers.

I always thought the quality was pretty good, but the price definitely became ridiculous. Now I pay $50 (I think) for online access to TexasFootball.com, the magazine, a recruiting magazine, and I think this year I also got a Texas Basketball magazine included. Access to the app is great if you follow high school football. Bonus, it’s delivered to my mailbox.

One of the all time greats and he did it humbly and professionally. A huge loss.

This dude ain’t even that great. I think of him as kind of a “glue guy.” He knows his role and does it well, but he’s not a star.

No idea. First I heard of him being gone was your post. That’s why I went with the phrase “now this”, because I don’t know what’s going on.

I don’t mean this as a negative comment towards Stone, but he’s had an odd past year. Transfers to UNT, wins the starting job, chosen as a team captain, loses the starting job, enters the transfer portal, exits the transfer portal, and now this. I wish him the best.

We obviously have different definitions of “some extra money.”

I get your concept, but I’m gonna say “no.” In no way do I aspire to be like a minor league baseball team. That’s what I think the top 30-40 teams should be if they want to pay players. Let them be the minor league for the pros and the rest of us can be college football.
