  1. Oddly enough, I think both of these can be correct to some degree. I feel like there are some who fit DentonLurkers description to a T, and others who are moreso just cautiously optimistic…which is understandable given our history. I find myself in this camp.
  2. It’ll be interesting. I have no inside knowledge whatsoever, but I just get the feeling he’s here for two years.
  3. I hate to see this. Graham was great at UNT and I thought he was a rising star in the coaching ranks. Plus, seems to be a great guy and he’s a local kid from Ennis.
  4. Dammit! That’s what I thought, but I swore the telecast said 3 play, 99 yard drive. I thought I’d missed a play.
  5. Ok, that’s an intentionally misleading thread title, but hear me out. First off, if you read this as me downplaying how bad the beatdown was in Lubbock then I’m not expressing what I mean very well. It was a bad, bad loss. Now, to my point. First off, I feel like Tech came to play against us. If they play like they did against us, they will win a lot of games this year, and I don’t think we’re beating them on that particular Saturday regardless. That being said, we made it waaaay easier than it should have been. The minute or so stretch where we missed a chip shot field goal and threw 3 interceptions (two of which were flukes and one of which was a pick 6) essentially ended the game. They were running the ball down our throats, but the game turned on our mistakes. Contrast that with last night. The game changed after they pinned us inside the one yard line and we went 99 yards in 3 plays. Yes, they also threw a pick during our 24 point outburst in the 2nd quarter, but it wasn’t a fluke interception. I guess my point is that we turned both of those games into blowouts. At Tech, our miscues turned the game and versus Tulsa, our making plays turned the game.
  6. I feel like I got a bargain reading that. Well stated.
  7. In each season of 2019, 2020, and 2022, we lost 4 games by 20+. In 2021 we lost 3 by 20+. I’m going to go ahead and predict that there is nothing that happens the rest of season that looks familiar to that. Upon further review, familiar to what, 2018? That’s our last winning season.
  8. Now that’s an HSO. Love it🤣🤣
  9. I noticed that as well. Glad you posted this because I meant to do so. Some crazy, odd stats.
  10. Part of what made Mason so great was that he was the ultimate underdog story. Add to that the leadership he showed and the fact that he was such a great ambassador for the university. He was just impossible not to root for. But yeah, Morris is off to a great start. I have to imagine he is the most highly ranked QB we’ve ever had based on his 4-star ranking out of high school.
  11. This may be the biggest knee jerk reaction ever on a forum that knows a thing or two about knee jerk reactions🤣🤣🤣 In two weeks we’ve gone from “Fire everyone” to “Best team ever.” I love this forum.
  12. I need to do a little research, but I wonder if a team has ever had (2) 99 yards drives in the same game?
  13. I think he was talking about the coaches.
  14. I admire your dedication. Honestly can’t say that I’d be watching live in that situation.
  15. Some of you are too worried about stats. We’re up 24-3, that’s the only stat I care about.
  16. You’re free to believe whatever you choose. Ultimately we both want UNT to win.
  17. Big difference between good and inept.
  18. I’m truly not meaning to be argumentative, but our defense has given up 3 points and it’s almost halftime. How is that inept?
  19. Just kidding of course, but I should ask what position your son plays on offense since you’re not acknowledging their ineptitude.
  20. Do you get a win if you have more yards?
  21. I never said that, but we held them scoreless in the first quarter and then held them to a field goal when they had 1st and goal at the 3.
  22. The one that’s 0-0 at the end of the first quarter. The one where our offense has done nothing.
  23. I’m not dumb enough to think we have a good defense, but good lord at least wait until it’s warranted to bitch about it. At this point the defense is better than the offense this game.
