  1. I already corrected myself buddy..
  2. 2 things come to mind when reading this thread. CUSA needs a little work, AAC is kicking our butt with team recognition this year and UCF leading the charge. Definitely counting our blessings as I feel like the sun belt is a step down. But CUSA's tv contract sucks and the refs need to be evaluated. Secondly, does anyone know if it would ever be possible to join the AAC? Or does SMU lock the door on that while they are stinking it up in that conference. If that's the case, cheers to CUSA surpassing the AAC in the future.
  3. An El Paso bowl game would be atrocious as opposed to Dallas or Shreveport. I firmly believe location matters, as I think location matters in regular season play. I get what you're saying, but we need to beat up on our opponents in front of a crowd of 40k in our own neck of the woods to get this fanbase to wake up for this program's mission.
  4. DC, that's what I meant. Doesn't change what i was trying to get across though.
  5. Oklahoma would disagree. OC fired after 5-1, and the season before that winning the conference championship. Nature of the beast..
  6. Bingo, thus our running backs have a hard time gaining yards because the line doesn't help open up any holes for them to get anywhere. Unless you have a Herschel Walker type RB that mows down defenders.. Then good luck with the ground game. When the line starts collapsing immediately after the snap, Mason has to act on half second decisions to avoid a loss or scramble around like a mad man to throw a pass. A lot of our offensive play calling depends on how our line performs. I think we're an air raid offense, but more so now because the Oline not up to par.
  7. They're honey moon phase has been retired. Start offering free tickets with chicken buckets again, UTSA.
  8. Minnesota would be one of the better choices. I can see fan traveling from MN easier than a lot of the others I've seen projected.
  9. Then we'd be in the market for the AAC. stupid ponies..
  10. I dont know if there is anything we can do this year, but we need to recruit an oline for 2019. Mason is letting the oline coach get by with the poor performance. Yesterday's game had me and some fans around me very nervous and frustrated with the lack of protection Fine was getting. We are soooooo lucky Fine isn't turning the ball over, when he's got a 250 pound + rusher coming down the middle to knock his lights out. That is how skilled Mason is. @FirefightnRick talked about it, but the one play that the Rice player straight up low tackled Fine at his right knee and there is no excuses for that. That crap ends football careers, was on purpos, and inexcusable.. Rice is trash and they need to work on sportsmanship..
  11. This needed to be a late afternoon game... The tailgating scene was a tease to a let down of attendance. It wasn't the worst, but for homecoming.. It should have been 4 to 5k better. Glad we got the W though.
  12. I said this a couple weeks ago and still standing by my prediction.
  13. NT- 62 Rice-13 Show no mercy!
  14. Army needs to go play in the Armed Forces Bowl with Houston or somebody like them. Maryland, Indiana, or Arizona State please! My eyes are already burned out from seeing Coastal Carolina mentioned by ESPN..
  15. Chicken and Rice does sound really good about this time of year!
  16. That looks really good! Wow.. UNT has really stepped up its game in advertising. It has changed so fast. I graduated in 2013 and I feel like we're light years ahead from 5 years ago.
  17. I still remember 2013 when we spoiled Rice's night on Halloween. Man the stand was so fun to watch! That game was probably one of my favorites. It just sucked those bastard yard birds in San Antonio gave Rice life at the end of the season again to go off to the championship..
  18. Last Saturday against UAB was not what we all wanted.. But time to looking forward to rice and good ol' Homecoming. Traditionally Homecoming is the better attended home game. With the weather looking nice, homecoming, and a 6-2 record.. Will we break another attendance record? Perhaps our first sellout?
  19. Not to mention, we have a history of playing poorly in San Antonio. As Ashton pointed out in the barbershop podcast, we have issues in Birmingham and San Antonio for some reason. I think we put UTSA to sleep, but UNT needs to be firing on all cylinders or we're in for a rude awakening.
  20. We got shafted both times on opponents..yeah.. yeah.. we have no room to talk being a G5. But we could have easily been #2 on that list if we had Illinois or Washington as an opponent.. Instead of LaTech or S.Miss. Cerebus, you're more educated on bowl stuff then me and a lot of other posters. But if I'm servpro, I want a 10-2 or 9-3 North Texas playing a P5 in Fair park. Guaranteed a best seller of tix.
  21. Indiana would travel pretty well. I know we've beat them in Apogee in the past. Maybe a repeat? http://www.sportingnews.com/us/ncaa-football/news/college-football-2018-19-bowl-projections-week-9-rankings-playoff-picks-michigan-alabama-notre-dame-clemson/1wp6b57nv9kun1typ4dj3cs6jz
  22. First of all.. Season is not lost. I would ask you to explain why you think the season is lost, but your going to elaborate on a conference championship and other stuff, that I dont care to hear about anymore. We didn't lose this game because of Fine, his fumble was one of the smaller things that contributed to a loss. I also ask what you felt is going right? Because I can tell you that 6-2 at this point of the season is incredible. And we couldn't of become bowl eligible so early, without him at the helm.
  23. I always hate ESPN's predictions. Coastal Carolina? Really?
  24. I'm hoping Servpro bowl. But LaTech might be stealing that one away in our own backyard. Independence is a good one to, very drivable. Frisco bowl would be better than NM. I'd much rather get the threat of selling out then worrying about getting to NM.
  25. This one is frustrating, it would be one thing if it was a close game and the one in the last few seconds. But we came out in the second half and decided to hand them the game. I'm going to need 24 hours to cool off. I remained positive after the LaTech loss, but this is a knife in the wound that was almost healed..
