Thanks for the insight. I think Texas goes to the Alamo bowl if given the chance, figured it's possible a barely boowl eligible TCU team would take a easy travel bowl game in Dallas.

I'd say the same about OSU and Baylor, not impressed. OSU has that overated TX win and that's about it. Baylor is still down in the bottom feeders. I'd put my money on TCU as of today.

TCU has to get bowl eligible, I'd say they beat OKie state and Baylor to go 6-6. But this would hands down, be the best bowl game UNT has ever played in. Due to the fact that this is a winnable game and local DFW teams. Plus we would get our p5 opponent.

This is why I think we need to ignore the fact that they are terrible this year. Even their fans on their board are posting that they hope they just beat UNT (and they use the word UNT in the derogatory way) as they lose out this season. UNT has been playing down to their opponents, UTEP and Rice show that.

I don't get why UAB has such a low attendance. When they dropped football, people were coming out of the woodwork to protest this decision. They have it back and are 1st in CUSA West.. Scarce crowd.

You say that, but I looked on their board the other day to see if they were melting down. One of their posters says that they think they will lose out, but hope they can beat UNT on the schedule they have left.

I was at this game tonight, . Had to watch football somewhere on my bye week. North Texas would beat UH. Ben Hicks actually pulled his head out of his butt. The UH coaching lost them the game though.

I think it's sad. Although I'm to young to have suffered through the seasons like a lot of you older folk went through. I started following UNT football in 2010, so I went to a couple games in Fouts before it closed up shop. hard to believe all that history will now be where cars can sit. Parking is a scarce thing to come by for a student though.. I had a good laugh at some of your comments in the 2003 thread, where you had to pee on the wall. Lol I hope they keep some pieces of Fouts to preserve the memory.

I mean we've know about this game since early Summer. Its if you get invited to a family function you feel obligated to go to, you make plans in advance and coordinate with work or other potential obstacles. I asked my boss if I could come in a tad bit later on Friday and he understood when I asked him 2 months ago. (Not all of us have this luxury, but I know there is a good chunk that do.) If the game started at 6:30, we would see excuses like traffic or if work runs late.would prevent getting to the game. .Just like on excuses on holiday weekends.. It's to close to Thanksgiving, the OU/UT game, The world series, etc, etc. Let's be that exception and support our team through crappy game times..

I honestly cant remember, could be. I just thought it was respectable that he encouraged his class to go to the games. Anything to help get a crowd on a weeknight!

I remember having a professor at UNT that cut class short and offered extra points on a test if we proved that went went to the football week night game. Forgot his name, but he got students to go. This topic just reminds of that. I love to hear when the staff help get students to attend school events.
