Probably the one time I will ever, ever, ever root for UTSA. And that is only because I want to see Houston Lose in their brand new stadium to an already trifling team.

I don't think we could call them butt ugly. But I'm sure most of us agree that we want to see the Eagle on the helmets over the North Texas. Including me personally, the green unis are great! just add that eagle into the mix!

I have to agree with you Stan, I don't buy it either. Especially Sam Houston State being in the mix, completely random smaller school then the University of North Texas. I even hate going into the college/pro sport stores at the mall, becuase they always have the the Texas, A&M, LSU, Tech, etc.. Then they have TCU. If you can put TCU in your store, "a smaller school with most likely less alumni in the DFW area". Why can you not put UNT? I know we have fans out there buying NT merchandise. That is definitely not an issue....

That is the kind of stuff we like to hear on the football team. It is more then just a job as a player, but a pact to look out for one another out on the field or elsewhere.

Good point Jason. But Rice still surpassed us last season for the conference championship. Rice and SMU seemed to always be the big rivals in the conference until 2012 though. I think it is appropriate to say NT could take that that spot SMU left.

Rice makes sense as becoming a rival. A fellow Texas school and fairly close as well. But UTSA feels like more of a chance as being rival then Rice to be honest. We all have that bitter taste in our mouths when those four letters from San Antonio are said.
