I know I'm bringing a big group to Apogee this Saturday. It sucks about this season start, but things could change. I'm hoping Saturday I could see that spark we need for the rest of the season. GMG! Beat Southern Miss!

And if Dajon wants to be the starting QB for the rest of his college career. We know darn well he'll be studying those plays and showing the coaches he can overcome those ridiculous mistakes.

I know this may be to hopeful thinking, but a Southern Miss well played win might influence some to go? But UAB and LaTech did a lot if damage..

Honestly, what is the point of having DT, when our defense can't stop anything, our kick return hasn't scored anything, and our receivers can't catch a ball if the opposing team let them have a free catch and head start. I miss Chancellor, the replay of him returning for a score during Georgia is replaying in my head over and over right now. I miss last years defense and the leadership they had. Derek Thompson had talent, but was he a RS freshman? He was a senior QB. I think DW could be much more then DT. But he needs to mature and practice in preventing the rookie mistakes. Please no Greer and Mini Mac this season! I beg coach Mac... please don't put them in!!!!!

I don't want to change the subject, but I want to add that the attendance at the UAB stadium was a sorry excuse for college football. Good god, I know we can't talk to much about our own attendance. But we usually have had a decent crowd on tv.

In that case, I completely agree. We built a state of the art stadium and haven't sold it our yet! Why is it that it seems like RV just settles for mediocre. Jesus man, something needs to drastically change. There needs to be a better promoting of a winning football team. But the problem is, we don't have a winning football team.

Agreed, I personally don't agree that firing Mac is a good idea. Although I am concerned that the recruits he brought in have shown nothing impressive this year. I think he's one of the better coaches we've had, but maybe the 2014 season is a wake up call for this guy. It's clear, he knows he disappointed everyone this game, now he needs to keep his chin up this week and get the team to work their a** off. We have a home game in a week, and there are no if, ands, or buts on the 18th. He needs to prove to whoever of the small fan base that shows up Saturday that UNT has something to prove. And if we lose all of our games, at least show us the mean green are going down swinging. No blow outs and looking like there is no motivation anymore....

I just wish we had something going for us, but I just don't see it after this game... This sucks.......

there is a Walmart on university at razor ranch as well. If I was a student still I would rather go to that Albertsons though.

Did you say the same thing last year? Look, we haven't played our conference yet this year (besides latech). We lose to teams like Texas and Indiana and we are calling it quits for the season. The way I see it, we go to a bowl game this year. After we play our conference opponents this year, then we can truly evaluate this. I'm not giving up on the team this year, I know we can have a 2013 repeat. If we give up, then why should the players keep trying? GMG!

Yes, doesn't matter if we play in an OK bowl game. A bowl game win is so much better then nothing.

I just watched that game too, and honesty can say I'm jealous of how far TCU has come over the years. I agree with getting rid of the body bag games as well. But for starters, I think North Texas needs to stay at 7-5 and eventually get to that 11-1 or 12-0 you're talking about. No more of the 4-8 negative bull. We don't want to play cupcakes, but like you said. Schedule some recognized even or weaker competition to build up our rep and gain recruits.

I think DW did pretty good, let's see how he does against UAB. As stated by others, our defense was atrocious today. But for the most part, I feel like Dajon (besides the two turnovers) showed us he's the #1 QB for the mean green. Can't wait for next weekend!
