Every year is a new year. When UNT started in 2013, they had just come off a 4-8 season in 2012. A lot of our fans on here are seasoned fans and have gone through a couple decades of constant losing. And they have a legitimate reason to see us fall short again. I do hope our coaching staff tells our guys before we go out to play Tennessee, that we can win. (Puts the fight into the dog) I'm excited for 2015, especially with the new talent added on the roster!!! Go Mean Green!

I haven't been to a lot stadiums outside of Apogee and some of our conference mates stadiums. But my favorite outside of UNT is Donald W. Reynolds Razorback stadium. It wasn't so much the actual stadium itself, it was the atmosphere and the traditions the fans had during the game that made it a fun experience,

So if we see conferences start to fall apart and teams rearrange themselves somewhere else in the P5 and G5. What will the future look like for everyone? (I have seen some of y'all talk about the big 12 dissolving,)

When you put it that perspective, I can see why that would be a good move. When I posted my original post, I wasn't thinking on including our Texas conference mates coming along too.

I would think the helmets would need an update. If you have a new uniform and it has a certain flare to it, a new helmet would complete the uniform. I wouldn't be upset if they kept the helmets though, a SOW helmet is better then a North Texas worded helmet for sure.

(Well they are roadrunners Withers940 haha) It's probably because they are looking for a forum board handy down, and they want to use something that was made for someone else. Just like the football stadium they play in.

I hate to hear this,,, hope everything goes well for him.. But we know someone who is working hard during practice to earn a starting spot on the team will be given a chance. I just hope they can be on his level asap.

Spot on!, especially since we play 4 Texas Teams and 3 at home. Two of which bring a fairly decent crowd to Denton. (UTSA, UTEP)

I honestly would be disappointed, the "North Texas" is an out dated old football style graphic. All the college teams upgrading to the flashy uni's and helmets and then us finally adopting the SOW to our helmets, I think it would be a slap in the face to see the plain words on the helmet. I'm hoping they can mix the colors well this go around. Maybe put a bolded black outline around the SOW on the green helmet. Or a matte black helmet with a green SOW.

Thanks for posting Harry! we should definitely take UAB's spot. I do believe UTEP's numbers, man they travel well too. They had way more fan's show up then a 41 mile away distance SMU. Probably the most epic football game of my life (besides Rice) was the North Texas vs. UTEP game at Apogee in 2013. I was shocked at how many fans were there representing El Paso. I think we had over 26k that day? if we can pull off a good season, I bet we will have a attendance record setting game in November. (winning season)

Dude, that avatar picture is pure awesome! Anyways, I go down to Shreveport a lot to visit family and am a big fan of the Bossier City (think that is how it's spelled) casino area right next to Shreveport. Right by the river boardwalk.
