I'm so happy for the black outlining on the numbers and sow! It really puts a good touch in with the green and whites.

I'll throw another one in there, "As much as I completely Hate/Dislike UTSA and their fans, I hate Cougar Queen and the city slickers of SMU a hell of a lot more. Just because they have this entitlement attitude and are smug.

I'm not worried about the quiet. I'm worried about the helmets. It has never been mentioned that helmets will be new, just, "uniforms". A lot of people are more excited about helmets then unis.

I don't know honestly, I tried to research them a little, but couldn't find much outside of Twitter. They are known for making appearances to P5 stadiums from past tweets I have seen. I think the fact that they are visiting on a Thursday game, was a big give away they they aren't associated with ESPN Game Day. Like you said Ben, we should use every opportunity like this to get fans curious and interested in coming to the game.

haha, that's a good comparison. I think another good Greer comparison is the QB off the movie waterboy, that Bobby Boucher envisioned a head on him talking bad about his mother. And the QB was pleading with him about how he didn't talk bad about his mother in a scared voice and then gets chased down the field for a safety. (I wish I could find a clip)

I agree that they aren't going to be getting bent over. But, if you're comparing Interim Canales to this situation, then what is so different in SMU's case? June was gone after UNT annihilated them last year. That was a coaching change for them to an interim wasn't it? I will reiterate the fact that I would not take SMU lightly, like I've seen some posts stating that it's a for sure win for us. I know this is going to be a 50/50 game for both teams. NT is going to have to come prepared on 9/12 if they don't want to come home disappointed.

I think your rankings were fair, a lot of their fans have UNT as a sure loss against them this season, and of course are not going to take kindly to a North Texas source ranking them lower on a scale. I do appreciate the fact that you didn't go by media predictions to help write your article. I hate looking at predictions on big sports media, most of the time they are looking at just last years results and not analyzing the upcoming season's team.

because they are coming out out a 1-11 season. They were the worst team in the FBS last year, hands down. And a new coach would have to be a super legend to work out a lot of those flaws. There are plenty of other things SMU and UNT have to overcome. I am very confident in this game, not so much as us winning, but how this game is going to be a knock-out drag-out game between the two of us. I think this is the game UNT is longing for all year, we have SMU helmet props during practice. A body bag game isn't going to fire up the team when they get slaughtered. I see UNT just as fired up for this game as they would.
