Tour ULL's New $30 Million, 100K sq ft Athletic Center
GreenTexan13 replied to FirefightnRick's topic in Mean Green Football
that looks like a P5 facility! Good job Cajuns! -
Look, I get what you are saying. But it is honestly skewing the point and it could have never gotten to this point. Rick created the shots-fired fiasco when he claimed that a select minority wanted him to step down as AD. He is DELUSIONAL if he actually meant that! Oh, and for the record RV (if he somehow is reading this board)... My name is Joshua Alexander, and I am pro firing you. I am not a donor, but I would be highly interested in donating to the university as soon as you are gone. This shouldn't come to much of a surprise, since you probably read my letter that I sent to the president... Calling for you to leave....
-
Well we are the, "Minority" so why does it matter to RV what our real names are anyways?
-
That's his sandwich money.

RV is donating to the GoFund me account now?

did you get the word out on social media?

FootballScoop: President to make hire
GreenTexan13 replied to BillySee58's topic in Mean Green Football
This is such a spot on question its almost ridiculous we are asking this. And why do we have an AD at that point? Just get rid of him and have a committee or the president make decisions for the athletic department... -
Villarreal: UNT wants offensive-minded coach
GreenTexan13 replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
"Villarreal: UNT wants offensive-minded coach"UNT Fans/Alumni: UNT wants Slick Ricky fired before that coaching hire is made -
It speaks volumes, when we are selling this thing out faster over the SMU game banner. Maybe ol' Ricky will think the "minority" is packing heavy wallets? Lol

Chip Kelley comment about North Texas. Can't help but laugh.
GreenTexan13 replied to akriesman's topic in Mean Green Football
Commentators are talking about Chip Kelly going back to College football during the Eagles MNF game. Guess what also got mentioned? Yup, "Chip Kelly mentioned he was talking about North Texas State." Are we ever going to live this one down?! I'm sure SMU is loving the media calling us NTSU... -
MGB: Villarreal -- "We have things we need to finish here"
GreenTexan13 replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
Vito is writing on what he sees (a lot coming from gmg.com) But he is not doing this to be a troll. He wrote this article because he is reporting on what we all deep down knew, was the cold hard truth. That RV ain't leaving... And it is basically reinforced the fact that he has become a tyrant to our athletic department. Its not that we have hate in our heart, but the fact that we are all sick of the lies, excuses, lack of product, ignorance, and lack of change is all making us bitter. The majority is called a minority, and this interview with rick is almost as bad as the kick-in-the-nuts of a season. I know a lot of you are going to take the side of RV, and point out the constant posting by UNT 90 of trolling RV... But UNT90 does have valid points... Why should we accept this? the atrocious state of our football and basketball program.... But hey... some of us still have tie to wait I guess. I'm only 24 years old, so maybe by the time I'm in my late 30's to 40's, When Rick decides to leave... just maybe.... I might get to see UNT become the successful program all of us UNT fans pray for..... -

Everyone please stop arguing with each other! Can't you see, this is all of RV's elaborate plan to get the "minority" to turn on each other! -

GreenTexan13 replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
Come on man? even if I am wrong, RV still doesn't know how to respectfully fire someone. It doesn't surprise me, since he doesn't know how to hire someone either... BTW: ESPN says McCarney was announced fired an hour after the game. http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/13856676/dan-mccarney-fired-north-texas-mean-green-coach-embarrassing-loss -

GreenTexan13 replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
I don't want to stand up for Mac (guy was driving me crazy) but I felt like the proper way to let him go, would have been RV calling Mac to his office later that night or Monday morning and canning him. As much as I wanted to see Mac pack his bags, I felt RV was a little out of line blocking him in the player's locker room and embarrassing the guy. -

GreenTexan13 replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
But then he fired the guy before that.... And then the guy before that,,,,,, At what point does a boss have to sit down and reflect on the fact that it may not be just the people he is the boss of? It might be the boss himself.... -

Are you being serious? I guarantee you that is the last thing that matters to the vast majority and casual football fans. Winning is everything attendance goes upbowl games gain national attentionrecruiting gets better and kids want to come play herewe gain more fandomYes facilities help, but having a piss poor performance on the field will drive away everyone. Look at all of these hardcore fans skipping out on games and giving up do to the ignorance of an AD you are sticking up for! -

Also coming from the podcast were he couldn't remember the upcoming years schedule (because he didn't have it in front of him). Something an AD should know off the top of his head. Most fan's could tell you that... -
What about a former UNT alumnus - Clay Jennings
GreenTexan13 replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Speaking of Alumnus. We definitely need to consider a UNT alumnus for our next AD. Sometimes, you just can't replace the school spirit one acquires from attending the school. -
"the stadium was really nice, I had a good time" (Sounds like UNT got friend zoned)
-
He just doesn't have the self confidence and the nerves to be given the responsibility of leading a team. It wasn't just the UT game in 2014 that he failed at. It was the LA Tech game later that year that absolutely gave me no hope for the guy. He couldn't even gain us any positive yards that game. McNulty actually sucks it up and gives it his best and doesn't look around like he's about to be executed like Greer. McNulty's best just isn't good enough for FBS league football.
-
Please... don't... ever mention Greer and him possibly playing ever again.
-
Seriously? I (used to) listen to them all the time too... This sucks...
-
No... He's stealing money to be here.

I hope Mac was watching this game tonight and i seriously hope that the ultimate realization comes across his mind that he was wrong in the most ridiculous point he preached. What is that point? Well, the fact that Mac stated D.Smith wasn't our quarterback because he was a "practice guy". I am just as frustrated and angry about Mac absolutely refusing the only FBS QB on our roster. And Mac couldn't even been more wrong. DeMarcus is UNT's "Game guy". And if it wasn't for our horrific defense, we may have kept the score really close, or maybe even had a chance at getting an upset. It really does sicken me that Mac's stubbornness caused us to lose at least two winnable games, and I can only hope, the our next coach will be a little more open minded. And play his best options, not his favorite options.
