  1. UNT90 needs to take an RV timeout.
  2. So firing a coach, actually making a better effort at recruiting, and increasing salaries as well as (IMO) bring in a better group of hires into Denton is a program transformation? Oh ya, that's right.... Let's see a couple of paragraphs explaining why this program is going to fail under the watch of RV....
  3. When KFC refuses to loan them the chicken...
  4. I was just about to say that. I think a D- is being nice.
  5. Or prove him wrong in the future with back to back winning seasons. UNT and the athletic dept did this to themselves...The guy is an A-hole but he is right on a lot of things. He is the epitome of the average fair weather UNT student game attendee and the average Dentonite who probably knows nothing of the programs recent transformation with Littrell. But as long as we keep sucking, we are going to have to stand by while this guy and UNT 90 rant aqbout the state of this program.
  6. Why do we have so many UTSA fans trolling on here? Are y'all that paranoid of us, that you have to come on here and brag about how many $5 fill ups the San Antonio KFC's sold to pay the salary of the new coach? Y'all are missing the fact that you fired your coach a month before signing day and the season is most likely a wrap for you all. Good luck recruiting and replacing your staff in January lol.
  7. My 2016 dream would simply be, to just go bowling. I would like to play a low to mid level of the pack P5 and beat them. If we go bowling in 2016 (shoot.. even 2017 season),I'm going... No matter if it is right here in Dallas or an expensive trip to Hawaii/Bahamas... Gotta witness a Mean Green victory wherever it takes place at.
  8. I'd say we win 4 at least... Bethune, SMU, UTSA, UTEP (as the most realistic wins). I don't disagree with 3 to 6 wins as an outcome.... 4 wins in 2016 is a huge improvement though. I might be in a minority by saying this..., but I expect Littrell to bring us bowling and no excuses in 2017. Giving him another year or two would be way to genorous.
  9. Lol, he's ruffling those KFC feathers over there. I think one of them called us, "North Texas Teachers College"! I guess we finally shook off the "NTSU" label. Ryan Munthe= GoMeanGreen's CougarKing
  10. I heard that they found out about the KFC fast track app. The new and improved version is leading the way in their search for a new coach.
  11. They better bring in the coaching Jesus. Because they have A LOT of catching up to do. #nUTSAck
  12. I think that that would be a good factor into his decision. I know It would be one of the coolest oppurtunities in the world to be 18 years old and go to school in South Cali. But the guy backed out of a commitment with OSU... So I think there is a very real possibility that something else is involved in the decision making process. I don't think the P5 atmosphere experience is going to shut out North Texas.
  13. You know, I didn't even think about Smith. He still is in the picture too. I was just trying to get the point across that there isn't a lock into QB for next season. Littrell is far from being done recruiting and I think the staff is going to carefully evaluate this position, so that the best man goes into the SMU game this year. I don't think Littrell is going to be taking any favorites (based on what I have seen in his interviews) like Mac did with McNulty.
  14. I wouldn't call anyone a lock for next year. I think that Starkel has a better shot at starting sooner over the P5 schools, because that is seriously the realistic fact. We have no idea how Morris is going to play in practice. We think we have a guessing idea, because he's coming from a championship caliber program. Kincade wouldn't start until 2017, so you may bring up a good point. IF Morris takes the spot this year, and then Kincade takes the reigns next year, Starkel will be waiting as long as he would if he went to A&M or Yale possibly. I think he takes the job if he starts throwing bombs in the spring.
  15. I actually think that is a serious matter. The guy can bring in quite a fan base to Apogee if he plays here. A lot of the Argyle crowd that watched him play at LC, can now drive 10-12 minutes North and see him play collegiate football in person. He can bring his dad and he will be able to see fiends and family more often.. Then if he attended the other schools on the list. He did say that he wants a college that feels like home and I seriously think UNT is the best pick in that aspect. I also hope he takes into account what he could be doing for the North Texas program. If he comes here and shines, we very well might see UNT start going towards the success we have seen at UH. I know playing football is important to the kid and I think he will get the most playing time time right away if he picks UNT. But, I guess I can understand him going to the other three as well. He may want to go be a college student/athlete in Los Angeles, go follow the crowd in college station, or just strictly go to the college that will give him the more reputable degree at Yale... But I'm with the masses here and I can say that this is pretty exciting that a talented athlete like this is actually paying attention and taking UNT's offer very seriously. Even putting us up in a list that in the past, you would never see UNT typed in.
  16. Not as bad as UT fans, but they are probably mad that they are the punching bag of the SEC now.... Or the fact that CougarQueen can troll them about how UH stole their QB. It would be golden if UNT takes Starkel from under their nose. They would really hate the G5's after that.
  17. If the guy wants to play close to home, give his family the chance to come to every one of his home games, and the more realistic chance that he is going to start right off the bat.. Over the P5 schools. But A&M has so much popularity and media presence in this state and UCLA offers an 18 year old kid the oppurtunity to be a college student in Los Angeles (Popular spot for the college age crowd). He did back out of a commitment with Okie State (after talking with his family). Maybe his family is influencing to stay closer to home? Which gives UNT the best chance and then I guess A&M would be second closest? Idk, just hopeful speculation on my part.
  18. Didn't A&M lose all their top QB's? I would think that they would be cratching and snorting to get a hold of any QB recruits in this off season. I'm glad UNT is in his interest, let's hope the Littrell squad keeps communicating with this youngster.
  19. Totally agree! I was excited about Mac coming in (that all crumbled the past 2 seasons), but there is a different buzz with Littrell. Mac is light years away from Littrell's recruiting skills. Let's hope that Seth can match his own coaching with his recruiting/leadership. What is also cool is that Littrell has a whole list of DFW high school coaches that he is following on Twitter and we are witnessing them reaching out to him via social media. The recruiting game is evolving with the times, and I think Mac was a stubborn dinosaur that refused to go along with the times, as well as just accept mediocrity and use the grand ol' North Texas excuse of "It's hard to recruit at NT.". I hope to never hear a high school coach in DFW ever say that he never heard from North Texas again. And I think Littrell has been covering ground very well for the month that he has been here at UNT. We shall see what plays out in February!
  20. "Quartaro was UNT’s assistant head coach under Dan McCarney, who parted ways with the school five games into last season." I bet him and McCarney shared a brown box to clean out their offices that day.
  21. Imagine the stress the new coach is going to have to go through due to the poor timing on UTSA's canning Coker. If Dan McCarney ever had a chance at getting the job there, I would be advising rowdy talk to be on hospital watch (Not joking around). The bright side of this is for all the Texas teams in CUSA, as well as SMU to have a greater advantage in recruiting the state, Just imagine Littrell sitting down with a young man in the San Antonio area... Coach L (after a long discussion about football and UNT) " UTSA doesn't know what they are doing. They don't even have a coaching staff right now" Kid: "Sold"
