And when they play A&M or Baylor, it looks like Waco or College Station's away field. The problem lines with obviously the lack of productivity in our AD and the fact that UNT isn't a product that the casual fan will be willing to see in our current state. SMU doesn't have that product either. Yes, getting a little more recognizable opponent will help get the respect the program oh so badly needs. But we need a little middle ground to build our foundation on before we start taking on the bigger fish in the sea. Just admit that Memphis was a good grab by RV, I don't like the guy either, but that can be put on his very short list of positives here at NT.

So who are we going to bring in, besides the possibility of OK State? (if I'm remembering their schedule openings correctly) We already brought in a P5 into Apogee before. Think TCU's history with G5 opponents.

Which is why Memphis is coming to play at Apogee and not Southeastern Oklahoma State University. A step in the right direction....

I'm happy with AAC teams coming and playing in Apogee. Although, RV is still severely lacking by not bringing in some P5's at home. This is a step in the right direction. Plus... Who are we to judge the credibility of a fellow G5 team? Side Note: Still not supportive of RV

I wanted to see if there were any UNT alumni up and more specifically any UNT football fans up there that are on this forum. I want to make sure I catch every game I can on TV (fingers crossed that they show UNT games up in NE). If there are, I would like to attend some watch parties. He can still be charged with a DUI under the limit. A friend of mine, who is a cop has always suggested to me, that you pass on driving even if you're under .08. It may be harder to convict him (if this allegation is true) but he can still be going to court for a DUI regardless of how much he drank. I hope things go well for him. He may have been a part of a string of losing seasons... But he is a fellow mean grean fam. Good luck to him.

He's just more expressive then a lot of the people who see right through RV's bull. Someone already mentioned this, but I don't think it's fair to the other sports like soccer, track, softball to cut an athletic program just because it lacks in the 2 major sports department. Granted, that it isn't the most prideful thing to say that your school is a powerhouse in women's soccer. But they certainly earn the right to that athletic fee... Besides... If we kill off the athletic program, y'all know they are just going to put RV somewhere else at the university. He could be the next UNT prez?...

I agree! I think ESPN games will be a blessing, I was tired of getting blacked out or unable to watch games under a lot of the FS channels. Mid week football games do suck... But if thats the case, I still think its better then watching a solid black TV screen.

I really do hope he can make mud into diamonds. Only time will tell!
