  1. The only thing UNT90 has to go on, is the "iron skillet". However, I agree... If there was a rivalry between TCU and SMU, that rivalry is long dead. TCU can pick and choose their rivalry between OU, TT, UT, or Baylor now. I think SMU lets the fact that they play A&M, Baylor, and TCU at their stadium get in their head. You have to win or at least be on somewhat of an even playing field to have a legitimate rivalry.
  2. I think one of them discovered that it will be streamed on ASN. No SMU fans at the game, once again....
  3. This should be hung up and framed. Well said!
  4. 23,561. It's a new coaching staff, the North Texas culture has changed a little with some big changes in the AD dept, and we're playing a "cross town rival". I've already seen SMU fans bitching about not being able to watch it on TV in DFW, so they'll have to go to the game. Maybe the 50 SMU fans might up to 75.
  5. Do I even need to caption this? Lol
  6. What gain is there to play FCS games at UNT? Oh and CK has a point.
  7. I think it's either SMU or UTSA. People keep arguing that SMU is a one sided rivalry. But I've see the pony forums and I can begin to differ that we aren't getting their attention a lot. (The characteristics of a rivalry) I think UTSA is our conference rival. And we finally got our win against them to start a rivalry. It will become more of a rivalRyan if we can trade W's here and there. However, I hope UNT always beats them of course.
  8. I'd create a profile asking if SMU fans exist? Because... Unless SMU fans wore green shirts last year, we had a home game in Dallas.
  9. I think we need to rethink our priorities if we think we are going to lose to everyone in CUSA. I can understand chalking up Florida a loss, but (IMO) I'm not going to chalk up a CUSA opponent as a "If you think we can beat" team.
  10. 4-8 Bethune, SMU, UTSA and either Army or Middle Tennessee as our last win. Side note- If we can gain a good home field advantage reputation this year. These tough games against Marshall, Southern Miss, and LA Tech might not look as tough as predicted.
  11. This makes me so happy! Yes!!!! Good job @TreeFiddy
  12. This post had me laughing pretty hard. There is always one that disagrees with the masses. It looks like on this thread, Mailbox takes that title.
  13. What makes you think Morris will get hurt?
  14. you're not alone sir I'm up here in Massachusetts and concerned about not being able to stream the game. I have already tried to look into rigging it off some random website online, that streams games in maybe not the most legal manner. I hope that means (this week soon). Thanks for reaching out!
  15. http://www.tulsaworld.com/sportsextra/johnehoover/john-e-hoover-sooners-interested-in-locust-grove-qb-mason/article_b9893dae-58e1-50aa-9bf4-1294ff89ed4a.html The 5-foot-10, 170-pound Fine’s latest offer was as a preferred walk-on at OU. But he told the Tulsa World he’ll instead honor his verbal commitment to play on scholarship at the University of North Texas. Ben is right, I can completely agree with what you said. And he really was taken serious by some big schools in Okie.
  16. When he wins the bet, what will be your excuse? RV is gone there mister miyagi
  17. UNT90 would never do that. GMG.com is his insulin to his diabetes.
  18. I wish the past athletic leaders at UNT held as much accountability with their jobs as Ben is with his GMG profile....
  19. Certain people in Boston would love to know as well.
  20. I'm hoping that the stats continue here at UNT. I think a lot of us believe Morris is going to be the best QB we have had at UNT for awhile. Although I'm thankful for what Derek Thompson did here, I am so tired of hearing about his QB play 3 freaking years later.... The QB dilemma has just been haunting us for to long.
  21. I picked the Pac 12. They are a respectable conference, bringing in National championship caliber teams like the SEC. I also think the Pac would like to expand their exposure into the Texas market as well. Teams in Cali and Oregon would love to get exposure in this state. However, (minus the fact that this is a very, very, very wishful thinking thread) I would be afraid that if the Big 12 implodes, there are going to be a flood of Texas teams up for grabs. I just think the Big 12 is already saturated with the Texas market, that they would be looking elsewhere... And that includes Houston. The SEC seems like they aren't in a rush to add anyone anyways.
  22. "We brought a respectable crowd to the Hilltop last year, so now is a good time to repay us. This is essentially a home game for you guys. You can do better than 150 fans!" It looked like a home game for UNT that day.
  23. SMU athletics fan page
  24. http://conferenceusa.com/watch/default.aspx?Live=123&path=north_texas It looks like I can watch the Butt-cookman game on this CUSATV streaming thing. Not my #1 pick of our scheduled games to see. I think filmer might be right. I see some talk of a streaming option With ASN. I might be disappointed though... who knows... I will figure out a way to watch us play SMU. I'm sure there's a streating option out there somewhere..
