  1. You might want to reach out to @UNT 90 Grad They are having a watch party at the Fuzzys in Allen. If I still lived in Texas, I'd love to be apart of the watch parties he advertises here on this board.
  2. I haven't met anyone on this board personally. What you post here is what I perceive you as unfortunately. Although it's not fair to be upset when I see negativity. A lot of you guys have been around UNT sports for a very long time. I've been actively following UNT football since 2011-12ish and just been introduced into the mean green roller coaster ride.
  3. What happened to untjim1995? If was you and UNT90 hanging from a cliff and the only way of being saved was positivism towards North Texas football. I could have bet money that y'all would let go of the ledge than admit any positive future outlook. SL led you to the light!
  4. Idk how all this bowl stuff works really. Obviously we need 2 more wins for starters. But... I'm hoping that we can play a Big Ten team this go around if we're selected for the HOD bowl. As much as it was awesome to win against UNLV 3 years ago, they didn't bring jack squat to stadium attendance wise.
  5. Here's an update in bowl projections from a couple sources outside ESPN. Let's keep winning! http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2671469-college-football-playoff-standings-2016-week-9-rankings-bowl-game-projections Bahamas Bowl Dec. 23 North Texas (4-3) vs. Eastern Michigan (5-3) http://heavy.com/sports/2016/10/college-football-bowl-projections-2016-cfb-ncaa-bowl-games-schedule-predictions-latest-playoff-teams-conferences-sec-big-ten-acc-big-12-pac-12/ Zaxby’s Heart of Dallas BowlIowa vs. North Texas Cotton Bowl StadiumDallas, TX Noon ESPN
  6. I do recall when Wilson bobbled the ball now that you mention it. One thing is for sure, we won't have the weather playing a factor going into next week playing indoors. I think the weather conditions might have messed with Fine a bit too.
  7. Well said! Every time Army fumbled the ball, that was on our defense completely. When I was watching the game on the computer, and listening/watching the Army home town commentators did instant replays of fumbles (2 of which were reversed) you could very well see our defensive players actively strip the ball out of their arm. It wasn't like they dropped the ball on their own. There might have been 1 fumble, that they just bobbled the ball out of their own carelessness. The pick 6 early in the game, is a prime example as to why we have a huge possibility in winning out. That was a well executed defensive play and it took advantage of the receivers bad touch. Our defense was on the field like 65-70% of the game it seemed like, and made army turn the ball over 7 times. They are beasts in the secondary.
  8. BTW you can pretty much watch all of the conference games on the CUSA network online. Either pay 6 bucks a game, or pay more for a month pass. It might be worth getting the month pass, since we have nothing but conference games left. Edit: I'm sure they have a RTVF crew to film. Hopefully not as bad as Rice production....
  9. I kind of have that feeling too. They are real sneaky, it must be that fried chicken grease that makes them slip by. If you look at it though, UNT vs. UTSA games have always been real close in score. Like one touchdown close.. The problem is, it's been mostly in UTSA's favor in snatching the win.
  10. North Texas- 38 NCTC south campus- 21
  11. Good points, I like how we have SoMiss and LaTech at home. So that could give us a potential advantage. although.. We have made 50/50 of or W's on the road and at home. But I still think being home for the tougher conf. foes will help. nUTSAck and Juarez University might be trap games. I don't think we should make those a given. UTSA are always sneaky bastards and pull the win. ex. UNT loss 2013 and UTSA's win against South Miss this year. But on paper, UNT will win those games. One thing is for sure, I'm so excited for the 2nd half of this season! It's been to long since I've had these feelings.
  12. That's kind of what I was getting at. I think that point flew over GrandGreen's head.
  13. I think winning the east is impossible. As far as the west goes, I think we can win that.
  14. ^ yup....
  15. Every game is winnable. A lot of people were talking about Army the same way I see WKU or LA Tech being brought up. Look what happened to Army yesterday... It's all irrelevant, let's try to think a little higher of this team now... They have already proved us wrong going 4-3 so far this year.
  16. What about food? Oh yeah.......
  17. It might be worth just buying the month pass. I tend to stay more interested in our own conference anyways. Especially now that we are up in the upper tier of CUSA west this season so far.
  18. I want UTEP, UTSA will drop below us record wise. If they lose.
  19. I kinda wish I watched this game.
  20. A lot of people have been following NT football for a long time and have been though a lot. We also have a lot of reality checks when we get our hopes up and it crumbles yet again. What bothers me, is when people get on here scold people who try to point out the positives. There were times were I had to stop reading the board, because of the typical negative post. But you're right. There is going to always be one person looking for a flaw, even if we went 13-0.
  21. It's kind of nice seeing a lot of people getting proved wrong on this thread! Although, I'm sure the people who predicted 2-10 or 3-9 are happy they can eat crow.
  22. Plus it was SL's first game. A prime example of learning from our flaws. SL company made adjustments by the SMU loss errors into future wins. (ex. Fine)
  23. I still wish we beat the ponies.... but Houston getting beat is almost as nice as SMU losing. Now cougar queen might stop showing up for awhile. I guess UH took the Big 12 no expansion news way to hard... lol
  24. I'd give it another year before I get concerned about him getting snatched away. I do think we'll be seeing Seth coaching P5 in time. I don't care who you are, if you have opposing views. Bringing a 115th rank, 1-11, with a a true freshman QB to 4-3 mid point in the season the next year is a genius in the works. I might have a 2nd favorite college team in the future. And that would be whatever P5, Coach Littrell is leading when he leaves us at the promised lands of winning.
