  1. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/new-mexico-state-decline-bowl-gets-eligible-152914804.html An interesting read, I never thought about how a school might have to decline a bowl because it is to expensive.. This is a Sun Belt team too
  2. If you call that a crowd. It looks like there is about as many people as there would be in the waiting room of a dentist office lol And this is a 6-4 vs a 7-3 team too.
  3. Mean Green- 36 Black Knights- 34 Ground game vs. Air raid.. I think Air wins this one on Saturday!
  4. 28,724. The weather is perfect, undefeated at home, our opponent is known to casuals, UNT are CUSA west leaders.
  5. We should have Dr. Phil chant "And that's good for another Mean Green FIRST DOWN!!"
  6. http://amp.si.com/college-football/2017/11/12/bowl-projections-schedule-matchups-selection-predictions SI has us in HOD vs Texas Tech. Best matchup I've seen yet. Lower tier p5 for sure. Granted, Tech has to beat either TCU or Texas to get a 6th win..
  7. This might sound selfish, but I really hope we play in Dallas or Frisco. No Fort Worth, because we would play army. I do like the opponent of Colorado State!
  8. I just watched the highlights of last game and you could hear the chant loud and clear over the commentator. That was music to my ears!
  9. I think we end up winning out for the rest of the season. Army is going to lose to us and I think it will be a very close game. If there is one opponent I enjoy seeing UNT play, it's definitely Army! I still don't like talking about the championship game (because nothing is given) But if we end up playing FAU in Florida, I don't have the best feeling on that matchup. I'm really hoping a shake up happens and We get to play the champ game in Denton. Please... Please Please win teams playing FAU in the coming weeks... Our bowl game should be a win, I think we'll be sitting pretty at seasons end and roll in hungry for a W in bowl season!
  10. Yes sir, I completely agree. SL will be gone on day, and I'd like Harrell to take over that role when this happens. Harrell makes errors because he is still learning the system IMO. But I like that Littrell sends Harrell to the press box and lets him have full control over the offense. That means Graham will know the in' and out's of our system as a HC if Littrell were to get plucked.
  11. Baaaaaaaaaaaaaad decision on Harrell, if he were to go to UTEP. Like what MG said above me.. Too green at the moment. Harrell needs to wait this one out and increase his potential here at NT.
  12. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/2017/11/07/bowl-projections-opportunity-arises-notre-dame-after-big-ten-contenders-falter/834435001/ North Texas vs. K-State in Dallas. This would be a big attendance day!
  13. Thanks! I looked it up too. It looks like that was the 2nd highest attendance record in Apogee history.
  14. 26,500. What was our homecoming attendance # in 2013 against UTEP? does anyone know? I remember that as probably the most crowded game I had ever been to at apogee. (I never went to the Apogee opener) UTEP in 2013 brought a pretty big traveling crowd too. I doubt we'll see much orange in the crowd this year though. UNT is going to have to make up for no UTEP fans.
  15. This would be pretty cool. If UTSA wasn't already rocking the Texas state shape, I wish we could have Incorporated that first. But I've always been a fan of the (NT) Kind of like the traditional college football style like the letters on OU, Texas Tech, Baylor. I still think the SOW is the best thing to ever happen to our uniforms, but I wish we could change out with the NT once or twice a season.
  16. I kind of feel bad for these guys, QB's are hurt. They don't know who they are going to start. But at the same time, just go full throttle.. we need some payback from last year.
  17. I think SL will still be around. I just think it's to early for a P5 to be making a move currently. The things I respect about SL is that he took a mess of a program and turned it around in 1 1/2 years. We went 5-8 last year. But that's coming out of a 1-11 season, AD resignation. And starting from scratch. UNT just doesn't win, and SL is making UNT win. Which is something we should all be excited about.
  18. UCF, USF, Houston are good yes. It's hard to argue on why UNT should be above SMU because we lost with an not so respectful score to them. But SMU has only beat up on negative record teams (besides NT) I mean Tulsa (3-6) Cincy (3-6) SFA (paycheck game). They beat Ark State, which I guess is cool but it's a funbelt team (conference way lower than AAC). The SMU-UCF score was pretty close, but SMU if above us, should only be one spot ahead of us if anything. Not by much. Sidenote; I think none of us read how the rankings worked. Due to Cerebus' post.
  19. nUTSAck jinxed themselves after undefeated article lol. They play UAB, Marshall, and LaTech for the rest of their season. I'd be willing to bet on them going 5-6 for the season lol. And to the dude who is quitting being a fan that Harry copy and pasted.. relax dude, at least you all beat a 1 win Baylor team this year. Something to be proud of right?
  20. You think ULM said the same thing about Arkansas in 2011-2012?
  21. First off. We still need one more win. But I hope to sweet Mary and Joseph we don't play in the Bahamas.. We get UNLV in 2013 and a rematch of Army last year. PLEASE let us play in Dallas and with a better traveling and non season rematched opponent.
  22. Thank you! We won for Pete's sake! Shoot I had casual football fan people telling me tonight saying "Wow, UNT is really good this year." Some people aren't even noticing that they squeaked by with a 7 point difference over Old Dominion. They see the 5-3 record, and that we are top in CUSA west. I'm bugged by the 69 point spanking FAU gave us the most, but I'm sure proud to see North Texas leading CUSA, rather than bottomfeeding in it.
  23. Just five of the school’s 18 head coaches at UTEP have W-L records north of .500. Not saying what North Texas had to offer for Littrell was a pretty picture when he got here. But at least Littrell saw that our location is in DFW and knew that the recruiting would be one of the better places in CUSA to improve success. And North Texas had more competitive salaries coaching wise. I think it would be wise to ride out another year or two here at UNT, because Harrell might be the next head coach here if UNT stays 2017 successful. But some people only see money green, and maybe Harrell wants to gamble a bigger salary and a HUGE head coach gamble out in the remote desert of west Texas. (I think he'd be making a big mistake and that is putting my UNT fandom bias opinion aside).
