  1. It might turn into perfect football weather—a high of 60 with light winds.
  2. I hope you are correct. I think a dry ball will be better for us either way. NOAA has said rain all day in denton since midweek. Denton: Today Showers and possibly a thunderstorm, mainly before 4pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4pm. High near 60. North northeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. Tonight A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 1am. Low around 45. North northeast wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. Sunday Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 4pm, then showers likely. Temperature falling to around 43 by 4pm. North wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
  3. I would guess the NIL and the portal have no effect on them directly.
  4. High of 58 degrees and 100% rain and thunderstorms even if we had a winning record the attendance would be low. Tomorrow's attendance will make the last home game look like a packed house. They might be lucky to have 500 fans.
  5. Nice to see, I like the active getting the word out. They should help a bit with the lighting. Coach Morris reaching out - I like it.
  6. We are canceling our tailgate tomorrow. The weather has won this round. Showers and possibly a thunderstorm, mainly before 4pm, then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4pm. High near 58. North northeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
  7. Bingo, yes, sir! Orange County Choppers also.
  8. West Point is in Orange County you know.
  9. I would think they have to. It seems the forecast is only getting worse. I don't want to tailgate at my house.
  10. I look forward to it, and I want to go to the game in West Point too. I was born in Orange County.
  11. I really like this coach so far.
  12. I have really been enjoying a couple of bottles of Flight. I have always enjoyed Yuengling, but their Flight is an extra level for me. We usually kick off the tailgating day with a little vitamin "B"; B for Bourbon, some top-shelf flavor of the day. I believe it helps lubricate my joints.
  13. This Saturday, we have a 2:00 pm game against Memphis. I believe the North Texas Basketball Team will be on hand for a while. The tailgate will start around 9-10:00 am and wrap up @ 1:30 pm. Our Tailgate location, as always, is the Blue Lot's northwest corner, which is closest to the Stadium and just East of Victory Hall. Victor, Amanda, and Lauren plan to make smash Memphis in-the-mouth burgers and Amanda's Famous Mean Green Jell-O Shots. John has cookies and a yet-to-be-determined protein dish. I will have Spicy Balls. Bring your favorite refreshments. https://meangreensports.com/sports/2018/7/31/gamedayparking Everyone is welcome to stop by and hang out. Sit a spell.
  14. We sucked last year most just did not know it
  15. How many pitchers did they go through last night? I feel like I saw three in the 1st inning.
  16. I am not sure why it has to be an either-or. As I remember, the University did not spend much, if any, money on the parade. It was mostly different University groups and clubs that made the floats and everything. Plus, I believe it helped the homecoming attendance significantly by making homecoming a bigger deal.
  17. There are some really useless staff in the North Texas admin that need to go away. Not understanding or implementing the parade just shows how bad it is. Same with the cannon and many other things.
  18. My smile was caused by a clear and decisive win. But I do have a lot of balls.
  19. Funny, you should ask. He is staying with some mutual friends while he is here. We had a cookout party at their house for him last weekend. The mutual friend had me bring some frozen leftover balls for the cookout, then they had them almost every morning for breakfast. So he had his share of my balls in a week. Both ways freshly roasted and reheated.
  20. He really enjoyed it.
  21. I would really love to see us beat this season: Tulane SMU UTSA I know it's unlikely we take all of them this year but the opportunity is there.
  22. Opportunities are made of these Who am I to disagree? I travel the world and the seven seas Everybody's looking for something
  23. Who are you arguing with? I was there I just know the reality.
  24. Thanks to everyone who made it out to the early tailgate. Better attended than I expected. @untcampbell how did your BBQ go? I heard it was a bit breezy your way.
  25. It could have been 3500-4000 easily. I know the truth will upset some. 6000 would have been a very generous count. I am not sure who to get mad at; I hope the money is good. Anyone who has gone to the games for the last 20-plus years knows better. Knowing your audience, customers, and fanbase is essential. Preaching to them won't help. It might be a bit different if the game was for a championship or an undefeated season. If the game had been at 5:00 pm yesterday, there probably would have been another 10-12k there. I have to figure this kind of early game kills the concession stands and others.
