Seems like I heard the "we are so young" excuse last year until Jamario took off. Will it never end?

I not counting out DD just thinking out loud if DeLoach may be an option.

Gary DeLoach is a Secondary/Cornerbacks coach he may be making twice what he was here, but what about as UNT head coach now?

What are the positives we can do as fans, especially if we want to see change?

Looking at this again I would think UNT was in the Instrcutional Confererence for D1A Football. I-Conference Be easy on us we are trying to learn

I been thinking what you were saying, maybe there is a happy middle ground, and the officials were over enforcing to reach the level the NHL truly wants to be called at. Have you seen a game? If so did you like it so far?

Has anyone watched a preseason game yet? I have been busy but I have heard mixed reviews from from faster best NHL Hockey ever to way too many penalties for obstruction, defense can't play.

Lovely so our conference would be ranked 7th in 1AA. And the Belt is the only 1A conference to be ranked lower than any 1AA. Well that renews my confidence in us wining the Belt again.

I would think that would depend on what DeLoach wants. Here is a what if for U: If DeLoach returned as head coach reestablished a top 25 defense and found a creative offensive coordinator to really fire up the offense, he could make one hell of a name for himself. Took UNT to a dominate mid-major with appearances in the top 25.

Is there a positive way we can get changes made with the current Coaching staff? I hope not to hear about poor player talent because it is not as bad as the scores reflect. I do have faith in our players. Like many have said I think for now we have the coaches we have, but it is fair for us as fans, alumni and students to ask for and expect accountability. Many of the negative posts on this board stem from worries that the Mean Green ship is drifting off course and no one is working on what it will take to get back on course.

No matter what the score is it can't be as bad, barring injuries, at least LSU is ranked 3rd in the nation.

I am sure DD has his strengths I am just not sure what they are, I used to think recruiting was his strength but how in the hell could he have dropped the ball on the whole unused scholarships this year.

Its the coaching, we had enough great talent that made DD ball get by, but now poor game planing, and bad game-day coaching will not cut it. No team is this bad, only the coaches can be blamed. Coaching to utilize our talent is what we need, forcing present day talent into a very small DD football mold is not working.

K-State- 24 UNT - 14 We see some improvement in the first half but K-State makes the proper adjustments we don't adjust at all.

Don't get too worked up that is the same warning we get each spring for thunderstorms, yet with more rain and wind in the spring. Keep in mind The State Fair of Texas starts next week the rain must be coming.

I think the question is ...Is this an out OOC game? I am hoping for the best and expecting nothing.

I am just happy there is no mention of us on the list. There was enough $h*t giving at my office already this week.

It is critical that we take advantage of opportunities like we had Saturday. How many new fans could we had made if we at least seemed competitive with Tulsa, but the way in which we lost kills us. There are plenty of people at UNT that feel strongly against football and would like to see it go away. Until our fan-base and donors get established at a higher level we can't afford displays like this, as said before how many people bugged, begged, pestered and simply busted their a$$es to get people in the seats Saturday night? I really do feel that our coaches prepare differently for OOC games than for Conference games, and in home games similar to this we need a better team effort. Will we survive this game, surly, but that is not the point. The point is how many times can you survive games like this and what can we learn from them. If attendance drops and the administration shifts its focus we could be in for a brutal ride. I want make sure we do what it takes to grow and move forward in Football.

No doubt, I see nothing wrong with holding coaches accountable. DD has some trends I would like to see change for what I think could only benefit the program. Descipline Game planning Etc....
