PlummMeanGreen annoying posts now a federal crime!

Sorry have been gone but could not resist. My posts were about paying attention to what really happened, who we beat, how we beat them, and what their team's status was when we played them. 2002 to 2003 offense is not a very real picture but your stats are true. Keep in mind that Scott Hall was knocked out for the season the first game against UT in 2002. It is my opinion, and you can take this how you want, that our offense would have been at its best in 2002 thanks to our defense if Scott had been healthy. Even at that by the end of the 2002 season Andrew had developed enough that our team was at its best in the NO Bowl of 2002. And to me as a whole we have been slipping ever since the 2002 bowl game. -

I want a new head coach! That is key! I know that nothing on the list is likely to happen this year with DD leading the team. At best we may beat SMU but I think that is looking pretty grim. I would like the whole list, but it won't happen again anytime soon under DD.

I guess you told me that Big Baylor Team we knocked off finished 3-9 for the second year straight. 2003 was almost a record setting year for them, in their Teams history that was the 2nd most points allowed in a season, only toped by 2002 which was first. Plus you probably want to throw in who Baylor's other two wins were that year; Division 1AA Sam Houston State (finished the season 2-9) and the Dallas power house of 2003 SMU (finished the season 0-12; ranked 116 ). But you are absolutely correct that Baylor did beat a lack luster Colorado (finished the season 5-7). Are you really saying beating Baylor when they on the rocks, some the worst years in their football programs history is something impressive? Most Points Allowed In A Season You are right about Troy though they started D1 in 2002, and had a 6-6 season in 2003 with two hard D1aa wins against Florida International (finished the season 2-10) and Southeastern Louisiana Lions (finished the season 5-7). Is beating Troy really a highlight, one of those impressive victories to gauge the Mean Green by? But more to the point which was "slipping" 2003 was the year our defense started to slip. Thats a cold hard fact! -

See thats it exactly, people see through Green glasses. If they payed attention they would have seen the slip in defense. Baylor was last in the NCAA that year Troy was 1AA and the year before in 2002 our Defense was ranked in the top 10 but not that year, no where close. -

#1 Keep in mind The NO bowl did not exist 6 years ago, so an appearance in most fans minds outside UNT is a very dubious honor. #2 we just had not just an off year, but one of the worst years in our entire history. #3 Anybody that payed attention to the games since 2002 would know we have been slipping fast and DD has not been able to correct it. -
I could live with that, but I think the chances of DD pulling it off are as likely as us getting a new stadium next year. In all fairness Dickey has never been anywhere near "Hero" status to me, I have always thought he had glaring problems.

I like that idea, and a spring scrimmage tailgating would make my day. A little tune-up for the fall. Don't take it too far just food you can eat by hand; burgers, beer soaked bratwurst, tamales, brisket, ribs, pulled pork sandwiches, Bundy Bites, Deer nuggets, etc.. & Beer!!!!

Awesome! You have my vote.

I will agree that it is an age thing, but it was popular to get tattoos when I was 20-25 also back in the 80's now the biggest difference today is the girls are getting that big tattoo across their lower back. Then people grow up get a little more conservative, and not just with Tattoos, they drink less, smoke less, etc. Basically their views change. So I not sure about it being a generation thing. Tattoos were crazy popular according to my Dad in the 60's.

The thing I liked best about this article is the point about the NCAA why are they appointing themselves as sensitivity police activists, it is definitely not their job or their business.

Don't worry Rudy there are plenty of very bright people that agree with you.

It is one of the saddest experiences I have had, seeing a drop dead beautiful girl and then she has disfigured her backside or something else with a tattoo. It is almost like finding out she is drug addict.

There is a thing called popular history and it usually gets in the history books also. But on any subject from civil war to Iraq today the more you study it the more complex it becomes. Right now it is becoming more and more popular to be pro-indian. The first man is suposed to be in or around northeastern africa, but you just made the point I was trying to, "everybody is an immigrant". Exactly!
-
I still don't see why I should be sensitive to indians, feel sorry for them or anything else, as far as I can recall many pioneers in Texas had their whole families killed my nomadic indians. In fact I live next to one of the oldest cemeteries in Dallas and supposedly several of the early graves in there were do to indian attacks. From what the old timers that used live around here when I was young would tell tales their grandfathers had told them and some of the journals I have read were unprovoked attacks. There is much more to the tale then what recent media would have you believe. There are two sides to most everything, but that is over with and now we should be Americans and if we need a distinction I like Texan! What I remember of world history there was always some group of people over running some other group of people but life goes on. Groups give in surrender or worst and finally merge with the dominate society. My heritage consists of 1/4 Sicilian, 1/4 Lithuanian, 1/4 English, and 1/4 Irish, and who knows before that. The so called native Americans migrated here from Asia.

Actually, No it would not! People are way too sensitive these days and are just looking for things to complain about. Maybe kids should be punished if they play cowboys and indians. I guess you would want to ban all the old westerns because they are not PC either. Surely people have better things to worry about. Then maybe rewrite history to make it correct in light of the PC police. Those evil white men that unprovoked wiped out most the indians, and the Indians were all saints. When you start such crusades you find most everything there is offends someone! People are people and should just worry about being Americans.

Just checking in to say "Hullo." By the way,

"Hullo"Back at you! -
I heard that Conan's name used to be Conner Nathan O'Brien until he pissed off Chuck Norris. Chuck Norris round-house kicked him so hard it permanently fused his first and middle name together. This may also account for the shape of Conan's head!

This PC crap is way the heck out of control! Man we need to get a grip as a nation!

I wonder which starters will be ineligible this year? We need some freaking discipline on and off the field DD.

5 out of 15 is 33% winning season rate! 3 out of 8 is 37.5% winning season rate! Wow!! How impressive, now that something to get excited about!
