  1. Trust me, the smile was there that night - but gone the next day at the Camilla Grill!
  2. Uh, we have a full video with plans. I don't know where it is on the net anymore; but there is a fancy video out there with the stadium in it. stebo
  3. On the Akron message, they seem pretty confused about who will be doing the actual feed. They think that our crew will be doing it and from the discussion, I believe them. It sounds like this is not a normal thing for them (to have the game offered online) - so maybe the whole thing is not going to happen after all. I guess we will see at 5:00 p.m. (p.s. - this is stebo posting at Tony's house)
  4. Why Dickey Should Go Soon That was a quite lovely look, but if you read the summary, which is not much to go by, it reads that the buyout is likely prorated. I expect from reading this the buyout is much much less by now. Plus Talon90 you make the choice to keep Dickey very simplistic when it is not, much like a balance sheet of a kind the lost revenue needs to projected. DD ball is costing us fans each year, the inability to win what is perceived to be quality match-ups. Most importantly the overall perception that DD has given our Football team from the general public which is not close to good, and that has a recruiting price big time. Finally thanks to RV for vigilantly increasing our athletic budget each year, even at $250,000 it is less than 2% of our current budget. At this point Dickey is hurting UNT more than helping helping especially in the revenue department. DD needs to go at the end of the season if not sooner. Don't get short sighted there are tons of candidates for DD position. Just post the job and they will come. You would see offensive and defensive coordinators come out of the woodwork. We are in one of the "best situations" in D1A football, it only takes a winning record against many of the worst teams in the division to go to a bowl game and if you knock off a couple of OOC wins you are a super hero. What better place to make a name for yourself. Plus you have RV helping every bit he can. I doubt that DD would ever coach in 1a again
  5. UNT - 7 Akron - 42 Who is our starting QB this week?
  6. My choice for DD would be Sanitation Engineer.
  7. Thanks Rick. I took this last Saturday. THE AC
  8. Has this gone down yet? Just curious, I was wondering if I had missed the upgrade or not.
  9. You have to be kidding. Talk about a negative post, to suggest that our progress is acceptable. We have been in the situation many times and never moved forward. And DD is still in the same old place with the same old plays. This attitude that we are fine where we are is the worst kind of negativity, no high expectations, no measurable progress = a stalled program.
  10. Chris, I would be glad to sign such a document, I would imagine that a quick trip around the Orange parking lot before a home game would land you quite a few signatures. Tony
  11. I think we should get this published!
  12. It is Dickey's 9th year!!!
  13. Click here to see more!
  14. They really did, up until they got tired.
  15. I think the answer is we need to buy DD a copy. He seems to only know one system. Coaching Football For Dummies
  16. I will tell what is sad, we figured out how to watch the game on a 60in TV. Now I am ready to puke.
  17. Dickey already gave up. I love Dickey ball!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. On the Denton Square? Are you serious? I will drive up there for that. Have you tested the quality yet?
  19. I will say it is my opinion that DD is a bad coach for college football D1A, he may be an average High School coach. He seems to be a very nice guy. But I think what the last nine years has shown us is that DD has peaked and we will not see much forward movement in our football program as long as he is here. We need new blood that is not afraid to win against top 25 teams.
  20. Steelers RB signs with Miami: The Dolphins added more depth at running back by signing rookie Patrick Cobbs to the practice squad. Cobbs, 23, was impressive during the exhibition season as he led the New England Patriots with 188 yards on 38 carries and three touchdowns. The Patriots traded the 5-foot-9, 205-pound back to the Steelers for a conditional seventh-round pick before the season. "My head's still kind of spinning but it's slowing down a little bit," said Cobbs, who had 4,050 yards in four years at North Texas. "I'm hoping I can get moved up (to the active roster) at some point. That's my plan. I want to be on somebody's team." Palm Beach Post
  21. To me it means another QB is coming in for sure but whether it is Phillips or Meager has yet to be determined.
  22. But they are on the waiting list.
  23. Next stop, Miami Rookie Patrick Cobbs, who made a strong impression in training camp and exhibition action with the Patriots, has been on a wild ride over the last two weeks. His latest stop is the Miami Dolphins' practice squad. ``It seemed like the best opportunity," said Cobbs, who cleared waivers Monday and then flew to Dolphins headquarters. ``The hope is that I'll spend some time on the practice squad and then have a chance to be activated to the roster." Cobbs, who led the Patriots in preseason rushing with 188 yards on 38 carries, had been traded to the Steelers for a conditional draft choice Sept. 1. While he was on the Steelers' 53-man roster for the season opener, he wasn't active, then was cut in favor of veteran Najeh Davenport. It was a surprise, but they told me they wanted a bigger back," said Cobbs, who then was courted to return to the Pittsburgh practice squad. But when Miami called, Cobbs felt that was a better landing spot. It's been kind of crazy, three teams in less than two weeks," he said. ``It feels good that teams want me, but then they don't want me. It's kind of weird. I'm just taking it day by day, looking to find the best place I could play." Cobbs said he is ``forever indebted to the Patriots for giving me my first opportunity." Cobbs was ready to sign with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League when the Patriots offered him a tryout. The Boston Globe Congratulations Patrick
  24. Imagine what DD will learn in another 9 years!
