I will argue that UNT can't afford to keep DD, and if for some silly reason they keep DD it will be a near fatal blow to the Football program. Terms for resignation are very negotiable and won't cost that much. But I know my group, plus the group we tailgate with will be done if DD COMES BACK. That accounts for about 50 season tickets plus several MGC memberships.

I think there would be many advantages to having DD resign early, from recruiting to actively searching for a new coach. Also the administration would show they are serious about improving our football program, for the sake of the fan base, recruits, sponsors, and donors.

Do you all realize that is not how things work, UNT and DD will work out a mutually beneficial agreement where DD will get to resign and the school pays him some fraction of what is left on his contract. DD can get his health under control and find a job somewhere else. In the end it is usually better to save face than to fight tooth and nail to show what an ass you are. Meaning if DD tries to fight the school no other school would ever hire him. Not to mention that the school could work several angles at this point if they wanted to, from a termination such as non-performance based on the belief that DD is not healthy enough to run the program to failure follow guidelines. People don't kid yourselves UNT has plenty of options.

I can guarantee that our group of 18 season tickets and MGC will not be back next year if DD and staff are still here, further more I have already told the Business Department not to call me again for a donation until Dickey and his coaching staff are gone. I fully expect to see DD resignation this week.

Well that might make a Monday morning resignation even more likely! A shake up may motivate the team, we know damn well DD & Co can't seem to do it.

Most likely at 41-65!! But it would be nice to see RV step-up and pull the trigger this week and show DD & RF the door. Just to show the world UNT is taking the right steps to become a winning team.

Now I may be completely wrong on this but the rumors I heard said behind closed doors RV was against any long term contract with DD.

It already is on RV to some extent, but it is completely on if DD is not gone very soon. Remember that RV did inherit DD.
