  1. Wow, I will be at that game but it looks like I will be tailgating at my house! + I can still jump in the pool!
  2. Server was down
  3. I know our group is planning to make this one! It should be easy to rally the troops with a new Dodge in town, it will be most Mean Green fans first opportunity to see some Dodge ball. Is there any ticket information yet?
  4. Just an idea. Either way Benefiting usually has one "T".
  5. A trip to Cozumel is pretty great if you like an island in the tropics, cheap packages from all inclusive to just the simple European plans. Several great restaurants, fishing, sight seeing, scuba, and more available. It is a laid back island that runs kind of on island time. If cheap and more active in mind Cancun is good, or an in between is Playa De Carmen. Also trips to the mountains, vacations to Maine or Canada in the summer and so on. If money is not an object I am full of ideas. Adventure Tours I have used this company for over 12 years, a travel agent usually has to set it up but great prices out of DFW.
  6. Where to buy the beads for our trip back to New Orleans?
  7. Wow SMU has no likely losses on their entire schedule, they must must be one of the Dream Teams of Conference USA. I feel like they have a Nightmare coming! A Green one! A Dodge hemi-powered one!
  8. Coach Archie glad to have you aboard! I have to ask - How did you feel about the tortillas being thrown when we scored? You should come out to the GMG Bowl IV! Tony
  9. Bryant Gumbel & Collinsworth are probably worse, why the NFL Network would want either guy is beyond me. Gumbel is so horrid it is unreal.
  10. Boy this thread could really get me going. I am much less negative since the hiring of Todd Dodge, remember and learn from the past as to not make the same mistakes in the future, but don't dwell in it.
  11. We got the same story today also, not sure what is going to happen to the mean green village, but it will make a halftime beer run easier to get back to our seats on time.
  12. I don't know Ron Jaworski by voice but Thiesman makes me want to shoot myself.
  13. Parking 2007 Must be the Mean Green Village the parking does not seem to be changing except for the green parking lot going up to a $500 Mean Green Club donation which did not have much tailgating anyway.
  14. Yeah, Damn straight! Orange Lot Rules!!!
  15. I agree and it occurred to me that we all can help by emailing the link to all our friends that may be interested. I am not a memorabilia collector but I do know some guys that love this stuff more than life itself. I know it is late now, but I am sending an email this morning.
  16. Of course you got it, my prayers and best wishes go to you and yours, your fallen comrade and his family along with the rest of Dallas's finest.
  17. This is my favorite one to get started! Let me ask what is a tradition? Per Webster: 1 a : an inherited, established, or customary pattern of thought, action, or behavior (as a religious practice or a social custom) b : a belief or story or a body of beliefs or stories relating to the past that are commonly accepted as historical though not verifiable <the bulk of traditions attributed to the Prophet -- J. L. Esposito> 2 : the handing down of information, beliefs, and customs by word of mouth or by example from one generation to another without written instruction 3 : cultural continuity in social attitudes, customs, and institutions 4 : characteristic manner, method, or style <in the best liberal tradition> I don't think unique or stolen changes the idea of tradition. I don't think we have at UNT a truly unique tradition that I am aware of. We been throwing tortillas almost 20 years! The article spoken of was complete crap by the way!
  18. Sure Rick: 3:00 will be fine with me.
  19. Germany, France and Russia all had broken UN Sanctions with Iraq and illegally traded and invested enormous amounts equipment in Iraq that reflects several billion dollars worth of investment. For any of these countries to support an attack was a conflict of interests. And nobody even talks about the maned presence we had in North Iraq since the 1st golf war or the routine bombing and missile attacks that happened on almost a weekly basis through out the Clinton administration.
  20. We need more tortillas!!! The rest listed are great too!
  21. I may have now! Wow what next?
  22. Wow great article!! Every time I read something about Dodge the National Championship seems possible. Just powerful!!
  23. We do have an Ice Hockey Team our coach at the Farmers Branch Star's Center is the goalie on the UNT Ice Hockey team.
  24. McDougal (wife) - this was all innocent fraud? do you really believe that? Not sure why you are listing the acreage of the development, the scandal was about the misuse of money and fraud by Madison Guaranty Savings and Loan and the involvement of the Clinton's and the misuse of power Bill used as Governor, the development was just what tied them together. Don't you think it looks awfully bad that Bill pardoned someone who could potentially testify against him and his wife Hillary while you are insinuating a Halliburton conspiracy. Do you think Bill would take advantage of women by using his office of Governor and then the White House after scores of women came forward with claims of sexual harassment and misconduct not to mention how many women did not want any publicity. Then boom when he got busted beyond a shadow of a doubt he admitted he lied under oath because he was not sure that was sex. And should we believe him about anything? Starr just could not get enough evidence in the whitewater case, and there was plenty of evidence of tampering and lost records. If you really buy this story we are going to have to be happy disagreeing, because for me to buy it I will have to start believing Santa Claus, Nessy and Bigfoot at the same time. Not to say I don't wish there was a Santa. The crash of the stock market was marked at the beginning of 2000. Crash Crash Crash Crash How the Democratic party figures that is Bush's fault I have yet to figure out. I am not implying that this crash was Bill's fault either, I am more of the belief that the stock market cycles. But that the crash started before he got there, not as the Democratic party had stated. I not sure why anyone would ride Iraq into the ground, both parties voted for it and at the time most of the nation was hot for blood and Iraq was the best place to hit from a world opinion point of view, I agree that Syria and Saudi had it coming but that would not have flown. I don't buy that the poor Democratic party members were fooled by the White house but it makes a convenient excuse politically. Skipping the fact that we are killing terrorists in Iraq now on a daily basis is kind of criminal in itself. The reference to WWII is a little out of place this is not the same scale, or type of conflict. Just a stat though we lost 291,557 American souls in less then four years in WWII. From that stand point we are doing very well in Iraq. Vietnam we were involved with for over 11 years and 8 years of serious fighting with around 60,000 American souls lost. Now to paint gloom and doom about the Iraqis standing on their own two feet, well that remains to be seen, I feel there is an exit strategy but it must be in a way to keep the country stable. Maybe it means keeping a few foothold bases in Iraq to keep an eye on the Middle East in general, I don't claim to know all the answers on this one. Anyway best of luck to you, we have differing ways of seeing things. I used to be a middle of the road guy and still feel like one, seems like the world shifted left on me. In the 80s I voted both ways depending on the candidate, Phil Gramm I voted for as a Democrat and as a Republican. I met Dick Army at UNT and he impressed the hell out of me. I still feel when I look at things I look for the truth regardless of party, I just feel that in recent years the Democratic Party distorts the truth way more.
