On paper I think we won?

People act like there were no behind the scenes problems on the Defense, but obviously there was. If that is out of control then it makes coaching near impossible. Dodge should know and be able to measure this, I believe he will make the right choice.

There is much more to coaching especially with a complete coaching staff change, Dodge must see something in Mendoza or he would not be here. Did you here about the racial charges and the discontent on the defense having to do with attitude and discipline? How much impact was that? Do you know?

Maybe but still we had a tough year and no I don't think we should have lost to FIU or SMU. But the years of all the teams in the belt being ranked in the 100 - 119 mark but us seem to be over.

OU (beating the #1 team in the nation at the moment), Arkansas (beat the LSU when they were #1 in the nation), Navy (came into the game against us ranked #1 in the nation in rushing), SMU (sucked but that was their do or die game ). Troy (Ranked 19th in total offense going into todays game and ranked 38th overall in CBS poll) and FAU (Ranked 48 in total offense) which is as strong as many of our out of conference games in years past. By the way we used to play one or two D1aa teams a year. And before anyone says it Western Kentucky is classified as a provisional D1a team this year. Believe what you want, but nothing seems to support your opinion.

I did it several time this year already we have faced 4 top 25 rated offenses this year and the average total offenses we have faced this year from last has gone from an average rank of 75 last year to 40-something this year. I have to redo the stats tomorrow. But that is a huge difference.

This by no means was an easy schedule this year, it was one our hardest in years.

What makes you think Mendoza being here is about friendship?

Some games more then others. But what good is 15-20 topics on fire Mendoza it is getting old. Second if you told me that players on the D would bring racist charges this year it would have blown me away also, there were tons of problems on the D containing discipline problems left over from the previous staff.

Hopefully recruiting season will fill this board with positives.

Pull your freaking heads out the whole team sucked, and special teams allowed some of this crap. Have an original thought.

This was a scenario I tried to keep out of my head all week, but I knew that this team would give it all it had to keep from being winless.

A big problem at Texas Stadium in addition to number of transplants we have in the area is tons of the Cowboy fans don't know when to cheer and when not to. I been to 3 or 4 Cowboys games this year and I have watched entire sections scream and cheer the offense from when the huddle breaks to when the play is over. By far most of these people are wearing Cowboys paraphernalia. I guess they may be part of a huge conspiracy, but I am betting they are just football stupid.
