The problem is the seats were $80 each last year next year they will be, if the ticket price does not change, $163 each even at that, plus several of my group are relatively poor and if they don't sit with us they won't come. Now we did buy one MGC membership but all we used was the parking spot and remember it was not required. And getting those 5 guys together to purchase is pretty hard to do also. That is why we ended up buying them as a group in the first place, at one time we had 26, but people lost interest in Dickey Ball. I just think until we start selling out this kind of program is uncalled for and can cause more damage then good. I would like those who have been buying tickets for going on a decade and more should get some credit or grand father clause. I can see new people coming in hogging all the seats when we get to the top 25. But damn I think this may very well backfire unless we go bowl-bound this coming season. The sell out is based on what was sold last year they are counting on all season ticket holders to renew their seats which may or may not happen. It is kind of premature to say E is sold out and D is almost sold out when the season ticket holders have until next summer to renew and April 12th to get the early bird special that really is not that special just last year's prices. One other thing section D & F have higher ticket prices to begin with. By the way I am for a flat tax plan.

Sure on preexisting seats this year if you purchase before April 12th, not next, so from last year to next year there is upward of a 400% increase in two years and it is in affect this year on any new seats. Is our attendance and fan-base really that strong? I would expect a much longer migration period.
-
Last year a single seat was $80.00 next year it is $350 that is 437.5% increase in two years or actually this year if you did not have a preexisting season ticket, does anyone think this will not impact the average fan at Fouts. And I expect that in the new stadium that will at least double so a single seat could cost as much as $700 for a single seat. Man for that kind of money we had better be playing in the top 25 and sold out. My option is they are about to out-price themselves, and no I don't think people will shift. I think they will get PO'ed that they raised their seat cost that much in such a short time. When I did the chart there were lots of two seat groups in D & F those seats were a grand total of $160.00 last year and now those same seats will cost $450. There were a couple of groups of 6 in these sections and as a group the cost was $480 now going up to $1100. I think a more gradual increase would be wise. I just wish my boss would give me a 437.5% raise to help with inflation.

Did you all read this: FUTURE PLANS + All season ticket accounts in sections D & F will be required to meet the new donation levels to retain their seating in sections D & F for the 2009 football season. + Season tickets in areas outside of sections D, E, & F will not require a Mean Green Club donation for 2008. Additional sections are a component of future plans for season ticket priority, and will be addressed on a year to year basis. Oh well we have had our seats for 7 years, I guess nothing is forever.
-
Lifer that is not the problem the math is curved! The more you buy the more the seats cost, I am fine with a $250 donation per 4 seats, but if you want 7-8 seats you donation level is raised to $1000 plus the seats not a linear $500 donation. So you are not rewarded by buying more seats
-
Can some of you people read? The math is off: if you buy 4 it is $250 plus the price of the tickets if you buy 8 it is $1000 plus the price of the tickets if you buy 16 it is $2500 plus the price of the tickets if you buy 20 it is $5000 plus the price of the tickets Buy the way this is not for section E, this is for Sections D & F Once again: 20 tickets = $5000 donation plus $2000 for the tickets But 4 Tickets = $250 donation plus $400 for the tickets Multiply x 5 Should be = $1250 donation plus $2000 for the tickets But maybe I am stupid Section E $500 donation = 4 season tickets:::Per ticket price = $1000 donation = 6 season tickets:::Per ticket price = $1,500 donation = 8 season tickets:::Per ticket price = $2,500 donation = 12 season tickets:::Per ticket price = $5,000 donation = 16 season tickets:::Per ticket price = $10,000 donation = 20 season tickets:::Per ticket price = Sections D & F $250 donation = 4 season tickets:::Per season ticket price = $162.50 $500 donation = 6 season tickets:::Per season ticket price = $183.33 $1,000 donation = 8 season tickets:::Per season ticket price = $225.00 $1,500 donation = 12 season tickets:::Per season ticket price = $225.00 $2,500 donation = 16 season tickets:::Per season ticket price = $256.25 $5,000 donation = 20 season tickets:::Per season ticket price = $350.00 This is crap no other way around it! You are paying more then twice the price per season ticket if you buy 20 tickets then you do when you buy 4 tickets. So you get heavily penalized for buying more seats, see how this works for the fan-base. I guess in 2009 our seats will be free. NORTH TEXAS FOOTBALL 2008 PRIORITY SEATING TICKET POLICY

Have you ever seen a plan before that penalizes you for buying more? Anyone that has sit with me or buys tickets in our group knows that we try like hell to get butts in the stands. I always have extra and try to share, but this goes into affect I won't be able to afford it. Last year we purchased as a group 20 tickets plus a 250 donation, I eat 6 - 8 of those seats usually. Now if we break it up into 5 groups of 4 the donation level is only $1250.00 but if I buy them as a group it is going to be $5000.00 for the Donation level. Shouldn't they sell out the stadium before they raise the cost 400%? I not worried about this year we will get the order in before the April deadline but man we batter start wining or this will have an serious impact on a already low fan base. $250 donation = Up to 4 season tickets $500 donation = Up to 6 season tickets $1,000 donation = Up to 8 season tickets $1,500 donation = Up to 12 season tickets $2,500 donation = Up to 16 season tickets $5,000 donation = Up to 20 season tickets

North Texas over all record is 464-423-33 wow get facts straight. Texas Tech over all record is 491-387-32 so in all of Tech's history they have won a total of 27 more games then us and if it were not for the last three crappy seasons we would have that cut in half or more.

The Greek is right it does make my day, and take away the sting of a crappy Cowboy game!! Long Live Deloach!!!!! -
Same here!

Oh well his dad did say don't be surprised to see Tre wearing green well I guess we don't have to worry about that anymore.

Well I am not sure I went that far now, I think there were tons of other things going on last year including a much tougher schedule yes, discipline problems and you know I was trying to be positive with a new staff mostly for Dodge's sake. It looks like the first game of next year might be a little tough also, but Dodge is more settled, the team is more settled, I would think any trouble makers on the team are mostly gone now, and we will hopefully have a college experienced DC in Deloach. The proof will be in the pudding and man I think the pudding will be better next season. Maybe a little LSU upset fever! But I have always been a fan of Deloach since 2002 and that insane defense year, but I would have blindly supported Mendoza a couple of games further because I believed that Dodge knew more then me and if he kept him there must be a reason. But that would have only gone so far, because if Dodge couldn't see it I would think the problem rested with the HC. I will say with out any doubt in my mind that Deloach has been my first choice for years, and I can't imagine that Mendoza would ever even come close to filling Gary's shoes.
-
I wonder how many posts we have made in total, wishing, wanting and needing Gary back to UNT over the last 4 years. I hope it is true, Long Live Deloach!!!!!
-
My faith is in Dodge, I think we will be first! SMU has plenty of problems to deal with from a bad overall image from the death penalty to a very disinterested fan base and finally a difficult Faculty senate and more.
-
16 days and counting, where can Jim be? Seems unnatural, especially with a current Stadium thread!
-
I am sure you are right I doubt Dodge gives much thought to Vito one way or another, about as much as the rest of us care about a flea on a dogs a$$.
-
Sure it would help all schools involved and I am hopeful of a three way play for a DFW Crown will happen. I think something like this would really motivate the Metro Alumni and for us tap that Huge group of potential fans.
-
I think that is appropriate considering just the drinking involved.
