  1. For a little good news Patrick's account was active last night, so there probably is life, I still hope all is well.
  2. Wow that is one the most profound predictions I have ever witnessed, do you have any idea what a perfect predation that was! I mean you were dead on! Damn, can you hook me up with some lottery numbers? A very thrilling ending indeed!
  3. Where is Patrick, I hope all is well!
  4. For our little get-to-gather today we are on the tail-end of cooking 230lbs of meat from brisket to venison! Which usually draws all of my attention, but I am so excited about this recruiting class all I can do is think to myself, "Is National Signing Day here yet?" again and again in my head like a bad movie or the Simpson cartoon. HOW MUCH LONGER?????? I want the Giants to win, but if Eli failed to complete the game and the Giants still won would be my best scenario. I am tired of the the Patriots and I hate Eli (I know it is wrong, but a Joe Theismann type moment might do the trick).
  5. My God are you for real, get over yourself and grow-up. The man is one of our own, and he was arrested on suspicion of DUI? GIVE Adrian the benefit of the doubt! YES that is a very idiotic comparison not worth arguing when you are completely over the top.
  6. When you grow up and realize that in the United States you are innocent until proven guilty, then maybe we can talk about what an idiotic comparison you just made.
  7. He has a back injury it could be other things like a combination of medicines, give him a break!!!!!!!! At least until he is convicted of something.
  8. Isn't this where the Jeti live?
  9. I agree, it looks like temporary construction to me.
  10. Did Fouts burn down yet?? Can someone please park a tanker full of diesel under the grand stands?
  11. Actually that is what we have always done, it just was not mandated. But for the 20 seats the required donation going into effect is $5000.00 for D & F and $10,000.00 for E, so for us it will be $250 per seat for the right to purchase. I do agree with TIgreen01. I still would not call us the BCS until we are in a BCS conference.
  12. One other question, when did we get in the BCS? Or do you mean FBS? I know I am slow, but I may need this explained to me. But damn if we are in the BCS "Show me the Money".
  13. I don't think you know until that class has a real impact on the field whether it is a few superstars or an entire class of contributors, but you know for sure when you are sad that class is graduating and you are worried if those who follow can take up the slack.
  14. Looks like in those articles Bush tried to help, but ethanol is on both sides. But this is more of what I was thinking; Tight regulations hinder our drilling for oil offshore
  15. Well the EPA has the refineries and the off shore drilling completely hand cuffed, they have made so hard to drill off shore it has become almost impossible to make money even with the high price of crude. That is why building any new refineries is also cost prohibitive. Thanks again EPA screwing us! The Gulf has more oil in it then all of the Middle East three times over. But now we are not able to actively drill in new wells in our water, but Cuba just sold drilling rights to China to drill the Gulf, I bet they will meet our EPA standards. Right? CHINA STARTS OIL DRILLING OFF FLORIDA China, Cuba reported in Gulf oil partnership
  16. The second article is a great example of the Myth, even if you could take it all at face value it does not conveniently consider the that the price of corn will go up and force all other crops into competition. Silly writer please grow a brain. Plus he goes on to say this everything is based on one BIG mean oil company guy, well a quick search of arguments against ethanol will produce a ton of independent scientists reports for the last decade that give list upon list of why ethanol is bad period. Don't burn your food. Ethanol absorbs water from the air, and also from direct exposure to water typically from condensation. You can not run ethanol through pipelines, you can't ship it in regular tankers. The current level of ethanol in car gas is killing older cars. Man this is crazy. Like the oil companies care, they still sell it at their gas stations, and it is not like there will be a shortage of cars needing gas. That water absorption hammers your engine and help dissolve metal that get burn through your engine and released into the atmosphere. Gas does not absorb water, that is why many vehicles have fuel sumps to catch and release the water, any pilot can tell you about that.
  17. Did you really say premium seats at Fouts? I am not the sole purchaser in my group, we have always done it as one because it was easier to take care of, and if that is still an option it will be good, and as far as I know the whole history of Fouts until last year no donation was necessary to buy season tickets. And I am not a fat cat trying to dominate Fouts, I enjoy being in a group of friends. This will undoubtedly break my group up in 2009. I am a bit POed about it. I am not sure where you get $20.83 from but the ticket themselves cost $100.00 each plus next year's mandatory donation level for returning season ticket holders or this years new purchasers. I think I would see this differently if we were selling out every game and the Stands were actually packed, and I mean truly packed which I have never seen even at the Baylor game. But how many total Season tickets were sold last year? I mean we are not even close to full if I remember right it was like 3600 (I could be wrong)? Are all those season tickets on the Alumni side? Will we have that many this year? In 2002 our seats cost $60 each in 2008 they cost $100 each next year they will cost us $350.00 each and even if you are buying only 4 in section D the best rate next year it will still be $162.50. (Buy the way that is a 62.5% increase in one year and just over a FULL 100% increase in two years.) I hope we have a bunch of new wealthy fans I don't know about coming, because I have not seen them yet. I really wonder who is going to buy these seats next year, especially if we have a mediocre season in 2008. We will figure it out, just concerned that we will lose attendance.
  18. Not sure that makes the price jump justified, I usually like a little foreplay before I get bent-over. Is that what you mean by "donor privileges"? Because I am not sure what that means, a $250 donation gets you one parking pass with the Parking Nazis in the blue lot, and one pass to the deck, and a souvenir gift? But wait you said parking pass separate of donation privileges so maybe there is something I missed. We do make one donation a year also. Two years ago there were something like 2000 season tickets sold, please correct my number it is off the top of my head, but I would think for those few that stuck it out they might consider a longer phase-in period. With a gentler scale over 5 years or so, this surge of new season ticket holders they must expect can pay the new plan. And it seems no-one is worried that after 3 seasons with a total of what 7 wins this new pricing structure might scare off a good chunk of our lukewarm fan base?
  19. Two things I have been bringing old alumni guests out to help out attendance and to try to get them involved, and for some reason people on here have suddenly become happy about the crazy large crowds. Except I have yet to see Section D completely full I have seen it around 85% at a big game and maybe it is full with the rest at the deck. I know several that never go to their seats in Sections D, E, & F they just sit on the deck and drink. The other is 12 seats will cost $1200 for the seats and $1500 for the donation so it will now be $225 per seat. I would be pretty happy about $125. This all started when MeanGreenDoc talked me in to buying season tickets with him for the 2002 season, we asked all our friends and got a group together of 15 seats, then everybody got into the tailgating several of us were high off the Bowl trip that year we rounded up 26 seats worth of people for 2003. But the reality of Dickey ball set in to several and our group dropped back to 18. Which I supplemented for the last three years we lost some and picked up some in the process. Our group started to grow again last year so I brought the seats back to 20 and bought a couple of the poor student type guys their seats and kept 6 that were not spoken for that we managed to keep full all season. But my goal was to have all the seats filled and paid for when we started really winning again. But those being cocky about our attendance should know several I have met in the stands and at tailgating that buy 4, 6 , 8 so they can bring there friends and wifes once in a while. I think the guys that buy extra seats and the guys that sit on the deck will figure out different combinations that result in fewer tickets sold due to this inflation. I am not sure how any Mean Green fan can be cocky about attendance yet. I do hope that day does come.
  20. Well if it is a cheap ass to drag every person I can talk into coming to a UNT game, too see if I can hook them on on the UNT experience, with my tickets to put butts in the seats I guess I am one hell of a cheap ass. Maybe I just get the four of us die hards and pay $650.00 in 2009 and see how the D & F fill up. Not to say if the place is sold out not to bring the prices up, but damn from $1600 to $7000 is a bit much in two years for a stadium not sold out. Basically my salary is not meeting this inflation. The seats my group hogged, I bought 8 or 9 of the 20 seats we had this year.
  21. I sent that out to a bunch of my buddies, they got a kick out of it.
  22. What is going on with Tune?
  23. You are also talking Pizza Man can you imagine a case of Miller Lite being $80 Just because just some dip$hits wrongly think ethanol is a good choice for environment.
  24. It is one of the biggest reasons for high inflation and we are doing it to ourselves. It does no good for the environment, no one but a few farmers and well the subsidized distillers and distributors. It causes the feed for live stock to sky rocket, much higher meat prices to come, bread, eggs you name it is all going up in price because of ethanol which burns just as dirty as or worse then gas. Very bad for the environment and it is bad for your car. The Ethanol Scam: One of America's Biggest Political Boondoggles
  25. Well you know 50 yard line seats are in section E, but D & F are about the 40. No not all BCS teams are that steep, especially if it is North Texas at Fouts.
