And I don't know what that means, was there an unofficial test, of did they volunteer, I didn't ask at the time. Although in both cases it was told to me that they failed the pee-test.

I have been told there were several more by a couple of different connections back to the team, the number keeps coming up at 35. Is it BS I don't know though these guys usually have it right.

I received a phone call today that made me feel better about this whole thing, not nearly as PO'ed as I was. But RV and TD should still have a meeting to clear the air.

I think it is time for a general meeting between RV, TD and the alumni to discuss the current state of the football program. I want some straight answers, and we need to grill the two of them until we get it. I don't just think it, I know that we are owed some real answers. Why are we where we are, as far as the defections and what is being done about it? I keep hearing that none of the players can stand TD and that is so contrary to what I have always heard about the man by people the claim they know him well. I mean a coming to Jesus conversation. Or I think several more Alumni will be done with this mess, and I may be one of them.

I think it is funny as hell, I am sure Flynt is playing games just to screw around. Heck if everybody else has their hand out why not him. Maybe UNT should look to for a Stadium bailout and build a really nice stadium.

I spent six years driving one of those bad boys, that looks like a P-10 or P-12 they make around 8 miles to the gallon if I remember correctly. They are usually diesel but UPS had started converting some to compressed natural gas (CNG) before I left, but that conversion seemed to work better on the smaller trucks P-5, P-6 and P-8.

I was told we will have 6 home games this year! Though I will believe it when I see it, we better not have a home game the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

I do expect this year to be better as in more competitive football. I do think we will have wins more also. After last two seasons having disgruntled players is something I would expect. Regardless of comments above I think Vizza will pull out of the Sophomore slump we saw last season. I think we will see T. Dodge reinvent himself as well, the pressure is on, he will be a Junior as college HC, and he will be out of excuses. Do I think we are going to a bowl game next season, probably not.

It still blows my mind that a 11-5 team was eliminated from the payoffs.

I figure Philly will die (Hopefully in a horrible grotesque manner), and I would really like to see the Falcons go, but it will probably be between New York, Carolina, & Minnesota. On the other side of the ball I would love to see Cobbs get a ring, and if not Miami then I like Tennessee.

Hockey will pick up ratings over time, several things are happening that will help this sport become a completely national game, versus a more regional game that I thing it still kind of is. The first and quickest will be the move to HDTV, hockey is much much better on HD the puck is many times easier to follow and see. It makes the action much more interesting and even the fights. The second and probably the long-term power house for fans is the wide spread growth of hockey being played in high schools, in the last 5-10 years in cities across the south and other areas of the country where hockey was relatively unknown, high schools have started Ice Hockey teams. I think with time this will mean that fan base for the NHL will just increase and infect more and more fans but this is a 20+ year building process. In addition adult leagues are starting up in the same areas as the new high school Teams, I now play and I have met guys from Florida to California that learned to play as adults and love hockey. One thing about hockey players they love to watch Pro Hockey nothing like the guys I know that play soccer, many of them will tell me they love to play but they don't really enjoy watching soccer. I think NHL hockey will in the next 20 years surpass MLB and take the third spot. Just my thoughts. No I am not saying it will ever take away from Bowl Games, just that its market share will rise.

Wade Phillips....... Should be shot, or ran out of town or both and then shot again. Did he know they were playing for a playoff spot, the coaches from Philly seemed to know it. For that matter did Wade know that last week was the last game ever at Texas Stadium and they were playing for a playoff spot? How much more unmotivated can a team appear?

Kind of a retarded article it was pretty common knowledge last year and the beginning of this year that Speculators on oil futures were driving the prices up, using the increased use in China as the fuel. There were plenty of articles that predicted a huge crash in the price of oil by the end of this year. I think he got his Bush quote wrong, in his use, gas was a supply problem here with a shortage of refineries for various reasons, from damage from mother nature, retooling, or just lack of new refineries. But the US gas use was still going up until this last spring. Though I think he is right about lobbyists, and he discusses media, but the media is more to blame in this, the news networks feed on negativity and love to sensationalize anything 24 hours a day.
