Which Ooc Game Are Looking Forward To The Most
KingDL1 replied to NT03's topic in Mean Green Football
Me too although it for some reason did not reflect in the Poll. Its the first home game I always get excited over tailgating and the whole experience of that day. -

His girl friend is twice his size, wow. -
Can't we just get together and play some flag football, skip the the tee shirts. I am sure we can all find a green or white shirt for the game. Maybe take some optional donations for Andrew's ship fund. Don't all we need is a time and place?

Maybe she wanted you Steve, in a drunken attempt. Hey I like the sauce.

whether he strutted or just slowed down from a full sprint. I can see that being very iffy. -
World Cup Qualifier

I believe your opinion in this particular thread is not needed this is between socgirl people and true hockey fans. Though I agree I don't think NASCAR could even qualify as a sport -

A touchdown is a bit much but to forfeit the opportunity for an extra point/2 point conversion might make it interesting. The problem with taking a touchdown is, it is a judgment call and refs will get it wrong at times. A touchdown may be too costly. -
World Cup Qualifier

They will be fine, the Stars just played down to the team they were playing tonight, the Stars are the better team. They just did not hustle, were out of position, and made silly mistakes like missed passes to the point. I am sure Stars will bounce back Friday. Marty had a good game, 1 goal allowed with 29 shots taken you can ask for much more then that. -

I was at the game man it sucked. The Stars looked like they were on curse control, just going through the motions. How the hell do we get shutout by Phoenix? -
It was explained to me that in Dallas, the sirens go off during a storm only when a funnel cloud has been identified approaching or in the area. How it is identified I am not sure at night maybe just a hook echo on radar. But in day they were usually sighted. It may mean it was sighted in Arlington moving east, but there is a real danger. I don't know if it has changed but I would think it would be ill advised to change the warning system to include just a thunder storm, then you would have the cry wolf scenario and nobody would take it seriously. During an Emergency In the event of a Tornado Warning residents will hear a 3 to 5 minute steady signal of the sirens. When you hear the sirens during bad weather, go indoors and seek shelter in the most interior room in your home or office. You should avoid the outside walls and windows. An interior bathroom, closet, or other room is generally the safest location. Cover yourself with pillows or get under heavy furniture for protection. If you have access to a radio or television, turn it on to a local channel to listen for essential emergency information. All local channels will interrupt programming to issue Tornado Warnings and advise you where the tornado is located. Please do not call local fire or police agencies to ask why the sirens are sounding unless immediate assistance is needed. What I found for Dallas

This probably the only idea that works with the students, and some other young guns in dfw. Close the gates at the end of the 3rd quarter or maybe just after the half so they have to be there to see the concert. After that advertise make sure people hear the UNT Mean Green name again and again, radio, some TV, and events. But for the general public, you have to start with winning and build off of that. Even Pro Teams with huge marketing departments have problems with attendance if they are losing.

I love to see nothing! Nothing may be my favorite! -
If the HMO doesn't cover then pay for it yourself, that would go away. Plus companies have dropped HMO's that get too greedy. I don't want the government that involved with my health care period. Nationalization of health care sucks ask any doctor from Canada or England, and this is leading us there. Old folks really get screwed in it, try being over 60 and getting a hip replacement in a National Health Care System.

Déjà Bill
KingDL1 replied to KingDL1's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
Well I guess you got to start with Who started this crap, plain and simple Bush is not the screw-up that the press liked to make of him. So a little thought on that subject may help. I can say for Obama that his policies are complete crap to me. He has proved in just weeks that he lacks integrity. In spite of his own executive order aimed to stem the influence of lobbyists, former lobbyists are finding their way into top posts. So he has no intention of following his own rules. He is supporting more tobacco bans and he smokes, makes you wonder. But most important is Obama's support of partial-birth abortion, I am not some super pro life guy, but how can anyone support this crap. I do think the current abortion system unfortunately does have a place, but I don't want my tax dollars paying for it. -
I read an article maybe two or three years ago that stated the ethanol program was causing some crazy inflation in that the building blocks of the the economy. The food level, that wholesale flour was up 400%, barley or hops were up 1600%, and most all other crops were hit hard by ethanol. This lead to high feed costs with livestock, more cost to fertilize because corn is heavily subsidized and crops were not being rotated which means more fertilizer. Not even going into the fertilizer run off and other environmental problems. But it was the projection that ethanol program being in direct competition with agriculture crops, plus the rise in fuel cost would undoubted cause a major recession. Ethanol should not be mandated in gas anyway it is bad for cars and everything else, maybe just have straight ethanol pumps if they find something better to make it from so a person has the choice. I be happier if they spent the subsidies on algae, wind and ocean alternatives. Now my economics teacher back my freshman year at UNT said the same thing, just not ethanol. Prolonged inflation with food and energy would always result in a fall out. People will spend there money to eat, then worry about their other bills. I just wonder why it is not being addressed.
