Yeah that whole post got away from me because you hit a chord. Animus toward the city's culture, not you, friend. -
Who Could Replace Chris Beard As Longhorns Coach?

And Baylor has enough money to throw at him to keep im there. I was just going to say that I live in Austin, and almost not by choice. I wanted to just quote you because there weren't ever "good ole days." This city has always been a subordinate wanna-be town that thinks it's big time, and only just recently got its first professional sports team. That's not the ultimate measure of a city, but it sure says a lot. This city sucks, frankly. If you want to challenge me on that, name me a major park not owned by the state or UT that's over 352 acres, a major art museum not owned by UT, a functioning traffic system, a zoo that doesn't suck, and really any other feature of a major city over 1,000,000 people. /rant. -
FWIW, St. Mary's College has moved up to #8 as of 1/9. Despite the score of our game, that still helps us.

Sonny Dykes should give a Masters Class

By this logic, we are currently "equals" with Florida International. We are not equals with Florida International. -
My goodness you're annoying.

Right, but it may not be as easy to get there from Philadelphia, Tampa Bay, Greenville and others, is what I'm saying.

I think you're discounting the importance of the DFW airport as a major hub. Lots of flights from the airports servicing AAC schools may not have direct flights to NOLA or Memphis without going through Atlanta, Charlotte, Detroit, or DFW, so it'll be cheaper to host in those cities to begin with. Then add in that the AAC is HQed in Irving, and UNT is adding to the DFW footprint of the AAC next year (with a highly competitive team).

First Transfer Offer of the Morris Era

Kid couldn't have chosen a better picture, or even something football related? Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he went with something current, but damn dude, that's the picture that you liked best on Google for that announcement? -
Does it bother you that yarmulke is spelled incorrectly?

They found a healthy team that doesn't have to battle having players with the flu. Otherwise, business as usual.

This give me heavy UCF vibes

Yeah a garbage UTSA JV squad that he could exploit with momentum. You talking about this arena? Because after the renovations, this thing looks sick, despite it's audience layout and size. When guys are hitting shots like nobody's business, you feed them the rock. You don't need to wonder where Kai, Rubin, and Aaron's shots/points are because they're letting Abou do the work that's getting them the scores. They'll be there when we need them.
-
So ready for this game to put UTSA back in its place. Fine, they're better than us at football, but I'll be damned if I stand for even a close game against them. UNT 68 | UTSA 47

Did Eric Morris recruit Patrick Mahomes?
Jason Howeth replied to gangrene's topic in Mean Green Football
Well son of a bitch, you figured it out. I can't believe none of the other coaches we've had couldn't crack that code and go for it! It's so simple! #NewDenton -
A List of chores Wren left Jared
Jason Howeth replied to Tom McKrackin's topic in Mean Green Football
Maybe it changed, but in my day, the fraternities and sororities were the ones holding down tailgating and getting to the stadium when it mattered. Theta Chi member Jeff Kline was the university student president in 2010 pushing everyone hard for the vote on the stadium fee to get the damn thing built. only 13% of the student body voted in that vote and they won with a 18-point margin, in large part because greek life turned out for that vote. I wouldn't go blaming Greek life, my friend.- 118 replies

By all of your standards, we should've fired Grant McCasland before the 2021 NCAA Tournament. SMDH. -

This is the reason you're a cynical delusional idiot who needs to step away for a while. Championship history: Miss me with this bullshit.- 118 replies
