  1. Fair point, but even then they probably don't count Denton in the DFW market. In terms of "Small-market" teams here, the author was implicating a small-market fan base, Texas being a perfect example of a large-market fanbase.
  2. Your best bet is probably to buy through B&N, the bookstore's new carrier. B&N puts together fantastic bookstores all over the country and has used the same model at North Texas after entering into an agreement a couple of years ago. http://unt.bncollege.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/BNCBHomePage?storeId=71237&catalogId=10001&cm_mmc=SEM-_-bing-_-Elite+-+University+of+North+Texas+-+Book+Store+-+Broad-_-University%20of%20North%20Texas%20bookstore&utm_medium=cpc&utm_keyword=%5Bkeyword%5D&utm_source=msn&utm_campaign=Elite+-+University+of+North+Texas+-+Book+Store+-+Broad
  3. With an O Line full of seniors and the current QB situation, we could use him in either spot. Whichever QB we end up with will need as many targets as possible.
  4. UT always puts the visiting fans up in the corner. According to Stub Hub, sections 120 and 121 are "sold out" but sections around them aren't. I'd bet money those sections will be sporting the most green.
  5. Everyone is still going to receive a trophy though.
  6. Certainly the author and eagle2014 are referring to the market size. Just like the Astros are considered a small-market team, but they happen to play in a top 5 media market and 4th largest city in the country. They're not saying that UNT is a "small school." It's just referring to the market size that follows the team.
  7. I remember the word a long time ago (probably before the CLC deal) was that the UNT Bookstore was refusing to license to vendors because it had this grandiose vision that they could keep sales flowing through the bookstore and profit more from that avenue. Someone needed to be fired for that decision.
  8. Glad to see Chancellor getting the professional recognition that he deserves. Now if the other guys could get a look too...
  9. I've had the countdown on my phone for a good while now. 31 days, 8 hours, 3 minutes and 55 seconds.
  10. Don't forget to throw in Texas's own Baylor Bears. Oh, how I hate that school. Anybody else on that wagon with me?
  11. It's going to be a great game for sure. 20 spots is a lot though. If we can keep them under 30 points, we have a GOOD chance. I have faith in the Defense, but we've all been burned on faith in the past.
  12. I actually played some of those when I was in the area. They were very nice courses at a good value. And funny enough, I've seen them advertised here in Texas.
  13. Sure, those can get tricky, but who wouldn't want a (former) Texas/aTm style rivalry? Plus we've got to make up our deficits in the SMU series anyway.
  14. I just read about this and I go to St. Mary's Law!! This will be perfect in between classes. St. Mary's is a great graduate university, so the attraction of a bar will be a perfect addition.
  15. I just can't wait for the day that UNT sells out so many Apogee games that they fill in the upper bowl and add the grandstands above the student section. Just let that sink in for a minute.
  16. Where are the donors when you need them?
  17. Ha, dude, we don't have any room to talk. I'd trash talk that stadium too if it wasn't better than ours... Long live Apogee?
  18. Alright boys, I'll jump in here. I'm taking DB Zac Whitfield. Should be a very good year for him.
  19. I know experience is a lot in this game, but I always wonder how P5 teams always get the nod of approval for offense or defense when even they lose so many people. I think Mac has the mentality of those kinds of coaches and knows how to instantly replace a senior. Granted, it comes with the talent that is recruited, but I trust the guy. I don't think we're going to have as much of a setback on defense as most people think.
  20. La Tech at the top of the West above NT and Rice? This person has been smoking something funky.
  21. I worked closely with a lot of people in Birmingham a couple years ago. I'd love to go, but I'm not going to spend the money.
  22. Well that's an awful set up. I'm sure words have been spoken to this matter before.
  23. You're starting to sound like a conspiracy theorist here, dude. "No intention?" You can claim he's bad at scheduling all you want but you know this is false and insulting. Cool your jets, man.
  24. I'm sure RV is on board with this too. It'd just be nice to have these requests and demands for P5 schools in Denton accompanied by alumni donations. In sure the BOR thinks similarly.
