  1. I LOVE trice, but I also love the kind of leadership we got from SARGE McCoy. I'll have him and Chancellor.
  2. This guy sounds like your prototypical naive fan who got behind a keyboard. Probably the same kind of dude that loses his friggin mind to the point of isolation from his wife and kids when his team loses. To anyone. T-shirt fans are my absolute biggest pet peeve. Until they're for UNT. but even then I wouldn't much tolerate a person who graduated from, say, TX State, coming to root for us when we eventually play them. After all, when my kids come along they'll be the ultimate t-shirt fans until the day they get accepted.
  3. I wouldn't think so. It's still a bowl game, and for Mean Green fans it's still a P5 school.
  4. Texans need to be in on this like white on rice. He's no QB, but it doesn't hurt to give an unproven QB good targets.
  5. I'm fine with that, especially if it means that we have more talented WR than him. Give him a red shirt and dominate for the 4 years following.
  6. I think it's pretty accurate besides the SMU/UTSA flip. On Baylor though, they never had any kind of offense either. A&M gave up astronomical numbers, but Baylor wasn't a top 10 defense either (Hello North Texas!). A&M was good with Manziel and Evans, and both were lost to the draft. It's harder to name one person on the Baylor squad that carried the team which means Art Briles is doing a VERY good job of constructing the "team" mentality. We'll see how Kevin Sumlin does this year without star players on the level of Johnny and Evans.
  7. I noticed that too. Completely random.
  8. Me thinks you forgot the title of the thread. I think a better question is who will score first: The longhorns or the good guys?
  9. On page 97 of the September issued Texas Monthly - "JC: But is it fair to expect UT to compete for a national championship every season? CS: You want to compete. And you'd like to go compete year in and year out. JC: I'll ask you a much narrower question then: Are you going to beat North Texas in your season opener on August 30th? CS: Oh . . . [laughs] Let's make sure I get my guys to camp on August 4 and get 'em going."
  10. But seriously, I wonder how much of the shine effect is caused by the instagram filter... I hope it looks like the picture come game time.
  11. I think it should be added too, that we finally look the part. We've got a recognizable logo that the nation can remember and we're using it in the most appropriate ways possible. When you dress like a champion, you play like a champion. Great job on this helmet.
  12. That's one slick helmet there. Next up, a little burnt Orange scuffs on it thanks to a physical victory down south.
  13. That's fine. I'll be taking UNT on that line any day.
  14. Hell yeah! I love seeing every article like this. We've DEFINITELY gained respect in the FBS world.
  15. Absolutely! Lone Star is a nice, cheap beer, but Shiner gives you everything you could want in a beer from Texas.
  16. We'd have to be clad in burnt Orange and crimson for that too happen
  17. No, nothing like that. Nick has been a firm believer that bands like Ohio St. And aTm have nice routines, but always come up short in the musicality department. Honestly, that's why we're so much better. Also, they're not saving up for the bowl game either. Traveling in general is so expensive for the marching band that they'd blow almost all their budget on just one trip a year, so you'd have to forget about new instruments, equipment, and probably do away with the basketball band just to cover it.
  18. I don't think a comparison to the Georgia game is appropriate at all. We were a Vertu different team last year with much more stability. I also don't think Strong's team can hit 50 against us. Let's be honest here, Chuck, the last head coach that allowed those numbers was kicked out of Dodge.
  19. NM bowl makes sense geographically. Not sure I would afford the Hawaii.
  20. I've definitely noticed it and I love it. Pigeon kind of made me mad in the beginning, but then I got over it and they posted better articles. NT is definitely getting a bigger internet presence at the least.
  21. All ULL what they thought going into Arkansas...
  22. Very close to my seats too. Excited for this day to get here.
  23. I like it. I still don't know if we're really going to lose that Indiana game. I just don't feel like much had changed about their program.
  24. As far as I remember, all OOC games are umpired by third-party conference officials.
