That SMU was one of the better teams in here American conference. Sorry, what?!
-
We're running the ball a ton though. I'll say 150+ for Greer, 200+ for Pegram.
-
Well since no one has stories, anyone have any thoughts on how to troll SMU for the next 10 years? Nothing like burning "UNT" into the football stadium or anything, but harmless pranks that make them hate us. Anybody?

Rivalries are the best, don't you think? Well, in honor of our renewed SMU rivalry (yes, it IS a rivalry), and Dunham's epic rant, I wanted to hear of the best non-athletic rivalry acts buried in the closet. To start off, I know in the 80s or 90s, pranks would go back and forth until UNT finally won one year by painting the SMU administration building doors Kelly Green. And for a harmless start-up, any braves souls want to take care of this tonight? http://pistolsfiringblog.com/missouri-state-fans-dyed-osus-library-fountain-maroon/

They're big (50k+ students), but they're a poor academic school. When I visited, I had the pleasure (misfortune?) of seeing their academic performance statistics. All-men's average was around 2.5... YIKES!

I mean, we may know who you are, but certain teams probably "can't be bothered with a team like SMU" -
Official SMU Game Score Prediction Thread

UNT: 31 SMWho: 10 Our defense comes up big a couple times, and our RBs run all over their defense. Remember, SMU's D couldn't even stop Baylor's 3rd string offense. Good luck ponies, but you're going down. -
Things to comfort me on the ride home to Denton

Hahaha exactly. -
It is legitimately unfair to compare our game v. Texas to any other G5 v. P5 game. Different players, different coaches, different strategies, different preparation, different gameday atmosphere, etc. Literally everything about any other game is different. In no way does another school beating another school reflect on how we should have performed.

I think we should enact this rule for every game, and that goes on both sides of the W-L column. If we win, gloat, trash talk and express your joy all you want. If we lose, wallow in sorrow and shed a tear. At the end of it though, keep it to 24 hours and move on. This is one game in one season of college football. Our program will not be made or destroyed based on one game (especially a cupcake money game).

Just drop the mic and take off now..

How do you think now, at 28-0? It's not going to get better...

Defense looking good so far, Offense... less so

Do you want to rethink this now? -
We're not looking good so far

Houston Fans trying to deal with UTSA loss

Sounds like the Cougs got a taste of their medicine from 2011. Opening a stadium isn't as fun when an opponent spoils the first game festivities. -

I know so many teachers that brain wash their kids into Mean Green nation and EARLY! We need more of that.

What Texas is looking for against the Mean Green

This guy is going to be crying by halftime. -
It definitely is, but anyone I can convert would be welcome.

I loathe and despise Baylor. But seriously they're giving us credit which is cool. Then comes along the line UT poster on their site that crosses the line. Oh well. He'll be licking his wounds on Sunday as well.

Why is UT Game Different From All Other Texas Games for UNT?
Jason Howeth replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Great sbnation article yet again. I think it's time we got our own page. -
I hate to put this game all on Josh but
Jason Howeth replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
I think this is more accurate. Josh Greer should be considered the X factor in the game, but the game is definitely on the D line. With their talented running backs, we HAVE to stop the run to have a chance. We won last year with defense and it's on them to replace and repeat.
