  1. I was going to mention this too. I think you could probably say we were beat for recruits, but what did they do after they turned 18? Clearly SMU can get some but then expects them to save the team without any strength, conditioning, or added skill sets. Copied and Pasted.
  2. Eagle Angels aren't a sorority, but they operate like one. Plus, boobs.
  3. For those who didn't watch on TV, there was a false start call in the 2Q which put the cameras on McCarney. The look of pure fury and a clear F-bomb. I chuckled.
  4. It wasn't a defining win for the program, but it was a defining win for the fans, the team (especially after the scuffle), and George Dunham! We need more fans like him!
  5. This is the product of all those Orienation sessions they've been pushing the last 3 years. Students are now leading the charge in attendance. Hopefully the next home games provides a better showing from the alumni side!
  6. I still say we go with Greer. Keep Dajon on the burner for conference play.
  7. Except when he was getting sacked... Bring on the bad reputation votes...
  8. With less than two minutes to go in the game, the Mean Green Brigade showed its class by playing the SMU fight song while the ponies were on offense. Nick Williams is a perfect director.
  9. Gah, we're so quick to flip opinions here. I think there's plenty to gain from evening the series every year to waiting until they're good again and making it a REALLY good game. One season isn't a determinative factor in the rest of the 10-year series.
  10. I think this will be a weekly topic here. Every announcer usually says something strange or off. The next thing they talked about was the ever-fudged story of the nickname Mean Green coming after Mean Joe green. Sigh...
  11. The entire Defense. On an alarming note, however, we've only converted one offense drive into a touchdown this year...
  12. I was literally going to start this exact same topic. The kid is a stud.
  13. I love announcing research departments though: they also just reminded viewers that SMU has not been closer than the opponent's 30 yard line THIS SEASON.
  14. They said this multiple times too. Even after saying "They haven't met since 2007."
  15. I don't see a problem here... Sorry not sorry.
  16. It's looking pretty good now, I just wish everyone would get in the game by kickoff... Or at least by the end of the first quarter.
  17. That SMU was one of the better teams in here American conference. Sorry, what?!
  18. We're running the ball a ton though. I'll say 150+ for Greer, 200+ for Pegram.
  19. At the end of the day, we don't have a stupid smiling duck as our mascot.
  20. Well since no one has stories, anyone have any thoughts on how to troll SMU for the next 10 years? Nothing like burning "UNT" into the football stadium or anything, but harmless pranks that make them hate us. Anybody?
  21. Rivalries are the best, don't you think? Well, in honor of our renewed SMU rivalry (yes, it IS a rivalry), and Dunham's epic rant, I wanted to hear of the best non-athletic rivalry acts buried in the closet. To start off, I know in the 80s or 90s, pranks would go back and forth until UNT finally won one year by painting the SMU administration building doors Kelly Green. And for a harmless start-up, any braves souls want to take care of this tonight? http://pistolsfiringblog.com/missouri-state-fans-dyed-osus-library-fountain-maroon/
  22. You better make that pic of you you're background on every device
  23. They're big (50k+ students), but they're a poor academic school. When I visited, I had the pleasure (misfortune?) of seeing their academic performance statistics. All-men's average was around 2.5... YIKES!
  24. I mean, we may know who you are, but certain teams probably "can't be bothered with a team like SMU"
  25. UNT: 31 SMWho: 10 Our defense comes up big a couple times, and our RBs run all over their defense. Remember, SMU's D couldn't even stop Baylor's 3rd string offense. Good luck ponies, but you're going down.
