  1. Best basketball crowd I've seen at NT in, what, five years.
  2. moot
  3. No. Park at Fouts or Clark.
  4. It's early in the season. We don't know what we have yet. There's a lot of promise. That's what I meant, obviously. But you'll see what you want to see to fit your narrative.
  5. smh
  6. This class is coming around. Started slow, but has ramped up big time. Bunch of 3-stars on there, mixed with some 2-stars...looking good. Beat out a lot of regional rivals on a bunch of these guys, including SMU.
  7. We actually did some searching last year. He's some bitter old professor who got fired and now teaches in Tennessee. All About UNT wanted to post his name, but after we outed him, he got scared off and rarely posts on here. He's on City Data, The Chronicle, just about anywhere. Consistent slander.
  8. No, they've shown flashes of potential. For better or worse we're gonna have to deal with Benford growing pains.
  9. I think those are valid points. I think those are points Mac would concede. I personally don't think it is reason to be so down on the program. And I know you want to argue about scheduling as well, but even that I think is not enough to be so flipping down that fans are talking about their lack of interest. And no, I'm not calling anyone out. Those are valid points. To me, it's not enough for me to stop caring, or even dim my fan level at all. Also, is it possible for you to NOT be condescending in your posts? I think that's more common than bad football at NT.
  10. Because it took a few years to build Dodge players up, yes. Most of them substantially got--here we go, larger and faster--under Mac. We went from perennial bottom 10/20 to receiving votes in 2013. If you think that Mac can't pull us out of the hole dug this year, then I don't know what else you need to see.
  11. I just don't get the negativity at the moment. Basketball could go either way this year, so that's a moot point but one down year in football, and fans are dropping like flies? Last year was probably NT's finest football moment as a fan. Beautiful stadium, a real coach, a competitive budget, competitive salaries, real helmets, alternate uniforms, new conference full of Texas teams, record student attendance, Denton Game Day Champion/shuttle initiative...and you know as well as I do, Mac is going to get a highly respected D coordinator. Sorry if I just don't get the negativity because this season was such a disappointment. Am I disappointed? Let's just say if you knew me, the answer would be yes. More so than I'd say many people would assume I would be, I think. Do I think football is pointed up? Absolutely. And do I think men's basketball is pointed up? I do. Much has been made of recruiting, but I just don't buy recruiting rankings. Mac is looking for players that fit his system, and he's done a decent job of it. Once they're here, he builds them up. This year, I thought the QB position was going to be much better. It wasn't, I was wrong. But despite the harping on Mac's recruiting, I think the rest of the team held up well, and there's a lot of talent there redshirting. If you take away some of the more insane QB performances we had, this is a 6-6/7-5 which is respectful. If we can get a real solid D1 quarterback in here (whether or not they're on the roster or not) this team can make the jump. I guess that my inability to be negative about the direction of the program makes me not a real fan.
  12. I'll be graduating with a masters, and I'm pretty jealous of your green robes.
  13. We did my high school in June in Houston at 1pm. It was rough, but we did it. If I survived that then, it'll be fine in May at night.
  14. So did I. It was hot, but not unbearable. And that was in June at 1 pm. This will be early May at 7 or 8pm.
  15. I think what's quite cool that a lot of people are missing is this gives the opportunity for us to get some distinguished speakers at the commencement ceremonies that UNT has been unable to before. UNT will probably be able to get some distinguished speakers, considering they've had Steve Wozniak and George Takei this year as part of the DLS, for example.
  16. This issue with SGA was miscommunication and has already been resolved & SGA is working with us to revive the Pit Crew again. Just an FYI.
  17. I have family in Atlanta. That program and school is a black hole with no respect in its market. Georgia Southern probably brings more of the Atlanta market and it's not even in Atlanta. If Georgia State gets added, we need to get out of this conference ASAP.
  18. Hahahahahah. Probably flew over the heads of most people on this forum though.
  19. It's pretty terrible. Has no character, it's so sterile.
  20. The Talons also run the flags. The rest sit on the front of the student section.
  21. Exactly. Good momentum in a rebuilding year, squeak out a 5-7 record, beat UTSA.
  22. Dropping truth bombs
  23. They also always buckle in big games versus big opponents that gameplan to shut down the offense. The spread isn't too difficult to beat if you have the right personnel. There's a reason why spread teams don't usually win the big bowls.
