  1. I agree. I'm just saying, I expected 300 students at the game, max.
  2. If Chico gets the job, I want to see big name staff surrounding him and top tier recruiters. I like Chico a lot, honestly. Always have. But at this point, RV knows he has to clean house and make a big splash, so it would be doubtful he stays. I wouldn't be upset if Chico got it, but I do like other candidates. The players really respect him, wouldn't be surprised to reel off Ws against MUTS and UTEP, make it close against LaTech. And the important part--we aren't as bad this year as SMU was last year.
  3. There will be Halloween events. The team has improved, they performed admirably against Marshall considering the situation. It is an excuse. If you're on this forum, you care...so go support the team you care about.
  4. If you live in DFW, why are you not at the game? There are a ton of games on Halloween across the country, no excuse.
  5. I also think we will win. But I also was positive about SMU, and WKU.
  6. Wow. We're getting trolled (nicely) by Portland freaking State. Awesome. We deserve it, but still.
  7. That is a perfect article.
  8. I'm going to go with...15K. Maybe somewhere in the 8-9K range of actual bodies. Students will be there. Alumni need to show up, they could use some support.
  9. They beat FIU a few years ago. I think.
  10. It's actually a pretty good looking schedule, as long as they aren't noon kickoffs. Two home games back to back is pretty sweet.
  11. It hosts the Alamo Bowl because SA is a destination city and there is nowhere else to hold it. Every year the media and teams complain about it. What accomplishments? One good season? Sounds a lot like UNT's last few years.
  12. Did you just call the hellhole that is the Alamodome a P5 venue? Of course we don't like UTSA. It's a commuter college playing in a dumpy stadium with ugly uniforms and a coach known for letting his players be a-holes that we unfortunately share a conference with backed by a bunch of drunk desperate football fans with no connections to the school they claim to root for. Meanwhile they talk about how great their attendance is, when it's 24,000 for the only football in the middle of one of the nation's largest cities...meaning it's actually quite pathetic. UNT meanwhile is an hour away from the metro area, and has to compete with actual football. UTSA is pretty pathetic in the grand scheme of things. So I find the talk funny.
  13. Because he's been successful everywhere, and would bring a good buzz to the program. I hope he is a candidate.
  14. "toe to toe" lol ok bro
  15. It's probably just a troll. Better to not engage it. Want to hear a joke? UTSA students who wanted to go to UTSA.
  16. Excuse me while I projectile vomit. According to Twitter, Mangino & UNT are "meeting" tonight. I hope not.
  17. that avatar is revolting
  18. Awesome. The Rice/SMU/Baylor reject private school student/alumni called us a medium sized commuter college.
  19. I can't wait for the UTSA meltdown if we beat them. Come on, boys.
  20. It's always about him. He takes pride in us losing, because it means he was right. He was probably posting and driving.
  21. Yeah, a few weeks ago. It was still an absolute mess. It didn't look like any work got done on the bridge at all.
  22. I seriously doubt that. They're too busy building little cone animals.
  23. There was a LOT of online talk about McCarney being a candidate for a lot of jobs elsewhere.
  24. He once started a witch hunt online against a few of our biggest fans for retweeting a joke about people needing to hide during the tornado warning at Apogee because there were no touchdowns there. It was a tongue-in-cheek joke, and the dude was threatening people via Twitter then deleted it all. I defended the guy he was attacking and then he went off on me, and then blocked me. The whole thing was hilarious.
