The city rejected the stadium originally, so the district said "ok, well if you want any bond money you'll also be paying for the stadium." After they got ripped to shreds for it, the board admitted they added it in for the reasons I stated above. No high school needs a $70 million dollar stadium. Waste of money.

I don't really care. High school football is ridiculous. Katy just forced the city to pay for a stadium more expensive than Apogee.

Katy.

Who cares, it's a High School. My high school I attended has more state championships than Allen could even fathom. But who cares--it's HS.

Well then you weren't paying attention. We've always done commercials, on a fairly large scale, made by a company who does commercials for pretty much every P5 school.

Report Day (glimpse into the Locker Room)

Because so many on here are jealous of UH, for some reason beyond my comprehension. -
You do realize that there were a lot of commercials under RV, right?

Bet UH students are excited to know where their money is going. -
J&J's dirty old basement is closing so the owner of the building (not J&J's) can rent it out to someone else as a separate business. Denton has lost Hailey's, RGRS, and J&J's basement over the past two years. Rents around downtown are expensive, not a lot of new venues opening...music scene in Denton takes another big hit.

Why North Texas Beats SMU on Sept. 3rd
Ryan Munthe replied to Side Show Joe's topic in Mean Green Football
I really think we will crush SMU. -
I'm confused as to how TxState is the champion of these three. Sorry, UNT is on another level in every metric above those two.

The rule was unless you live within 15 miles of campus you have to live on campus as a freshman. Even if you live within 15, you have to apply for a waiver. I would say most freshman live on campus.

Nike Football Jerseys for Sale - UNT Surplus

Damn. I live in Houston but want a black one soooooo bad. -
Excellent support built off of one (or two?) seasons of the most cheating HC in business. K. Before that you were begging 2500 to show up, no different than us. Sorry if I'm unimpressed.

Unless SMU bankrolls the B12 to absurd proportions, this is a pipe dream. I fail to understand how SMU is a Big 12 fit. If they are and are saying they are, why aren't we?
-
But guys, NTSU was a juggernaut in the 70s with REAL tradition and pageantry!

Chuck Landon: Fees for exiting C-USA not cheap
Ryan Munthe replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Affirm my position of standing pat in CUSA, aiming for MWC. AAC is going to die, and will be the next WAC. Pseudo-power conferences like the AAC don't last, because they're first to be poached. -

So, is it 20 now?

SMU is on no short list or consideration or anything. Insane. Why would the Big 12 ever even consider them? I don't understand.
-
I really don't want to see us in the AAC, which I don't think will be around in two years. I would like to see us in the MWC, even though travel and game time kickoffs would suck. I wasn't a big fan of the MWC, and still aren't, but CUSA is about to go full Belt on us. AAC is not going to survive another round or two of poaching. MWC is stable and overall good quality. Having Boise here wouldn't hurt either.
