You can't say nobody remembers their initial buzz when they still draw better numbers. I've never argued we should schedule cream puffs at home, I've just suggested it's what the big boys do...and what Boise did. I did say be careful what you wish for. I tend to lean that way, or the scheduling of low-Tier P5s that draw well...like...Tech.

People perceive UTSA higher than us because of their initial buzz and scheduling. Nobody gives a damn about championships from the 70s. UTSA plays in downtown San Antonio, averages 30K, has their gear all around town, draws big name OOC opponents, etc. They're EASY to sell. These recruits don't care about the MVC and probably don't even know it used to be a football conference.

I absolutely love this post and it is fully 100% correct. If I was paid every time someone told me "UNT has a football program?" here in Houston (not as an insult, general surprise) I'd be a rich man. My boss was stunned to realize that we had been playing football for longer than UTSA and he's a big Gator fan. This is the reality and we won't fix this reality overnight. YES. ULM is viewed better than us. Right now, Littrell will have to win with what he can get and I trust him to do that, just like I trust Wren to get us acting like a big time program.

Well, we could have an entire list of 3 star recruits...I would say "man this is a good class, but who knows because stars don't matter."

I would say there's a ballpark shot considering the quality of the team. If we have momentum going into the game, I'd say it's in the realm of possibility. Not likely, but still.

Alternative facts. Also, no recruit is going to pick living in suburban San Antonio over Denton unless they're from SA, be real. UTSA is outrecruiting us because maybe Frank wilson is a great recruiter?

NFL is dying. Ratings are dropping like a rock, players are retiring earlier and earlier with more frequency, etc. You can downvote all you like, but it doesn't make it not true.

Really wish he would go somewhere where he could get some PT. Know it's pretty cool to see him play for the hometown team but he has a lot of skills and has shown them whenever he's given a chance.

North Texas or NT. Everyone who has ever gone here has a connection to the name North Texas. Not everyone who has gone here has a connection to the name UNT. Best thing Rick did was brand us as the North Texas Mean Green.
