I really feel bad for that program. There’s no reason for that program to be in such disarray. Good fanbase good school, everything.

Wren has a fundamental misunderstanding of our fanbase and thought playing in NOLA would excite the fanbase. When it didn’t, he had egg on his face and torpedoed momentum.

No matter how much you polish a turd, the Mean Green got waxed in the NO Bowl like we did in the SBC days, losing to Troy like we did in the Sun Belt days in front of a few fans, like the Sun Belt days. #olddenton How would possibly be beating FSU in the Independence Bowl be old Denton? How would be losing to FSU in the Independence Bowl be old Denton? This makes no sense. As I’ve said, at least Rick would’ve known to turn down the NO Bowl, because at least he knew the importance of keeping distance from the SBC schools.

Yeah, mingling amongst programs like Troy who can barely keep their head above water makes us look football stupid. When’s the last time UH has played a SBC school in a bowl?

I did have plans. It’s the weekend before Christmas. It’s a busy weekend. Plus for others it was graduation, etc. It’s a bad weekend for a lot of people. I just hope HoD and Indy enjoy their small ticket sales.

I would’ve been able to make the HoD, Indy, etc but couldn’t make NOLA. It’s an awful weekend and too early to make advance plans. A lot of our fans clearly felt the same way. It’s a bottom five bowl no matter how you slice it, and we had no business playing in it, especially against desperate programs like Troy with a dangerous team. CUSA has a really bad commissioner. AAC’s “P6” thing is dumb but they have a commissioner who is making that perception reality. Meanwhile, our passive commissioner is letting our division champs play MAC and CUSA scrubs. Perception is reality.
