  1. MGNation92's post in New UNT Commit was marked as the answer
My issue isn't with Wren Baker or Coach Littrell. I think we as a fan base we have accepted mediocrity for so long that we get excited for any kid that chooses UNT. I'm just of the mindset that you can't outscheme quality players. I get a bit wary of our self-evaluations when seemingly little to no other schools seem to agree on what our staff sees, especially those that run a similar scheme as us.
If we're getting guys that fit our system, all of our offensive commits would have LaTech/Texas Tech/Washington State/Insert Air Raid team here offers. That doesn't seem to be the case often and it worries me.
That being said, for all the negativity I've expressed, welcome Mr. Brown. I hope you work your ass off and become an all conference lineman for us

I was there tonight. Got lucky in my seat in that Alec Morris and Fred Scott sat directly in front of me. Both seemed like humble leaders. Someone in the crowd asked Seth in between segments how Fine was looking, Seth looked at Morris and asked "You think 6 will be good?" and they both just laughed. Alec then turned to me and said "If he was 2 inches taller he'd have an offer from every school in the country, because he can rip it" straight from the horses mouth they know what we have in Fine. Scott seemed a lot more confident in their ability to key in on Davis this time around.
Pretty packed house. Wren was there along with Hank, Reggie, Mike Smith and John Nitardy that I could recognize from the AD. Idk why, but John Nitardy just pisses me off every time I see him.
Everyone seemed to be in a good mood. Excited for the season to get started.
I'm also probably about 5 pounds heavier than I was 3 hours ago

    UNT90 right now

  6. MGNation92's post in Scrimmage #1 Observations was marked as the answer
    My observations:
    1. Morris looks a lot more comfortable in the offense. I had my doubts in the spring but he's settling in
    2. Mason Fine looks tiny but man that kid can sling it. I know they want to redshirt him but I thought he was better than O'hara
    3. I know Smiley is in the doghouse but we need him back there on punt returns because Ivery and Wyche do not look comfortable returning punts
    4. Rutherford looks like he's really stepping up. Goree too. Like what I'm seeing out of the smaller, shiftier guys. They can be huge(pun intended) in this offense
    5. Kelvin Smith didn't have the best day and TE looking really thin. Dillman in a leg brace, maybe an ACL? Means and Chumley also both out
    6. Defense looking better than expected. Secondary is banged up and you can tell but they competed well

  7. MGNation92's post in DW and the extra time till Nicholls St. was marked as the answer
Ah, my mistake. Either way, DW was way better. We need to put in a read option, pistol, spread type offense and let him got to work. Period.
