Similar situation, G5 school looking to continue improving with an extremely apathetic student fanbase that is more concerned with rising tuition costs and how they're gonna be able to pay off their $100k+ debt when they graduate.

If nUTSAck is any benchmark for this sort of thing, overwhelmingly NO

I think we might see more of a pure Leach Air Raid this season. IE using swing passes/screens/draws as our de facto "run game". All of our backs seem like better pass catchers than pure runners.

Great Adam Boedeker story on Kason Martin
MGNation92 replied to MeanGreenZen's topic in Mean Green Football
I would say he greatly benefited from a team that was STACKED with P5 talent. Especially on offense. I'm not sure he puts the same kind of stats he did on a less talented team. Then again I could be completely wrong. Just trying to play devils advocate.- 15 replies

DRC: Five thoughts on UNT's loss to FAU
MGNation92 replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
At least the UTSA trolls are halfway intelligible (I puked a little in my mouth typing that) This is just senseless "hur dur look at us we won a football game" nonesense -
DRC position outlook series: Will QB Mason Fine stay healthy?
MGNation92 replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
Vito - Can Fine stay healthy? Also, Shanbour is terrible, so if Fine goes down we're f***ed TROLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL -
I would imagine that, as I(and others) have pointed out, the AD continues to have events in the middle of the week during normal working hours. It's still frustrating to say the least, and while I would love to go this, I can't justify taking an entire day of work off to watch spring football practice. Good for people like Kram, bad for most others. I'm not complaining, just pointing out why someone would have an issue with it.

Does the school's mascot happen to be of the equestrian variety? Particularly of a young age? Maybe with hints of cardinal and indigo in their color scheme?

Good point

This. If a player can help you win, you play him. Period

24/7 from last year. I believe he was a composite 83 or 84

Looking at getting my first set of season tickets and was looking at these sections. Anybody have tickets here and can give me a low down of the view?

Littrell has done it every year he's been here. You're granted 25 a year for signees, and we've consistenly been signing 18-20 every year. I'm not sure the limitations on blueshirting, but in theory you could sign 50 total for a class and blueshirt 25 of them. All the blueshirts would count against the following years class. I do believe unused scholarships carry over, so if they only signed 20 last year, they'd have 5 more scholarships to work with, giving them 30 this year to play with(I'm not sure on this).

DRC signing day coverage (UNT loses lineman, English update)
MGNation92 replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
He better be the best damn nickel/safety we have on the roster. He was one of our highest rated players last year and could add a lot to the offense. The backfield worries me now. -
Siggers is on defense now? What the hell? FWIW He's still listed as a RB on the roster. Edit: Just read Vito's article. This move is perplexing to say the least. Moving one of your highest rated offensive players to defense? Wow

Who is your projected impact player in the '18 class?
MGNation92 replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Agreed. I hope him and LeBlanc get to RS this year to add weight then play together for 4 years. Could be a deadly combo in the near future -
Gotta think Lawrence is going on scholly right?

Derrick Shaw easily. Explosive, violent, and really good instincts. -

Shhhhh, that doesn't fit the narrative of how good we're actually recruiting! -
Breakdown of 2018 UNT signees by position

Not when all your starting WR's of a record setting offense are all sophomores. Gives you a little more wiggle room to shore up the Defense. -
Breakdown of 2018 UNT signees by position

He listed as DL on the official roster. With the departure of Tillman/Flusche I won't surprised to see him stay there. -
Awesome to see. The more quality OL we can get, the better we're off in the long run.

Any names to look out for? Are we expecting Carroll to sign?

Only problem is teams are improving exponentially while we're only improving lineally. -
I'm just saying he fits the Fred Scott mold more than the Zach Orr/Craig Robertson mold IMO. Those guys were big AND fast, so if at least they whiffed or got blocked they had the speed to catch up on the back end. Garner and Scott are big. You get by them, there's no chance.
