  1. I've said it before and I'll say it again, with this current group of RB's, I think we'll see a lot more swings/screens as extensions of the run game Littrell's air raid isn't as pass happy as others, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it shift that way some. I know we've seen Smith do well against Rice, but I question his ability to keep it up as the lead guy for 12 games. I also worry we don't have that "take it 80 yards to the house" kind of guy right now. Maybe Torrey? Who knows. Good thing is we have a couple games to find a rhythm before trying to upset the hogs.
  2. Hardin was actually I kid I was hoping they'd pick up out of high school. His tape out of MacArthur was pretty solid
  3. All World QB don't mean shit if he's getting killed every other play. 112th in Sacks Allowed. I wouldn't call that great recruiting
  4. "We Should" and "We Are Taking the Steps" are two very different things. Doesn't matter if its by train, car, bike, or plane. Littrell and staff are not recruiting well and have shown an uncanny ability to lose more recruits to similar schools than gain them.
  5. 7-5 I think we lose a few games that we squeaked out last year.
  6. We let teams like ODU, UAB, Army hang around. Front 7 is our main area of need in the worst way. We take all the one score games we won last year and flip them to losses? UTSA, ODU, UAB, Army, LaTech That puts us at 4-8 instead of 9-3(without our postseason games included)
  7. We need Mr. Flusche in his ear! Edit: Looks like his brother plays for the Pokes. Interesting. Hope we still go after him hard.
  8. Lol Y'all sure get triggered anytime anybody has any remote criticism of Littrell. I'm not going full 90 here, but to say recruiting has been excellent under Littrell is false, recruiting rankings are there for a reason. Is it a catch all? No, we've had lower rated players be big contributors, I'm not questioning that. The teams that are consistently ahead of us in recruiting will pass us by unless we continue to improve.
  9. And people wonder why Littrell's classes are among the worst in CUSA, despite two straight bowl games and explosive offensive numbers.
  10. Yeah they did it a bunch against UTSA, and sprinkled throughout the season. A particularly effective formation was them motioning Smith from out wide to almost on the tackle, snapping, have him crack the D-End and pull the tackle. It's a good wrinkle to have, but Fine has to continue to learn to slide/get out of bounds when possible
  11. Nice PWO pickup. Our WR corps will be stacked for years. Here's hoping the OL/DL can catch up to that kind of depth/skill
  12. Curious to see if Nicholas Pichon will be of any help in the middle. 6'3 and 297 lbs could go a long way if he has solid technique.
  13. OL is still concerning. Skill positions are stacked. Defense will continue to be a liability.
  14. I believe I called Tyreke starting. Preston was exposed a lot last year. Glad to see him step up. That nickel spot is so important in this defense. Love the two deep at the WR position. We are absolutely stacked. Also glad to see King doing well. He looked great in the spring game
  15. Unfortunately, as good as both Bradshaw and Wilson were/are, they both dealt with numerous injuries. Here's hoping Jeff can stay healthy.
  16. For reference, that would've be tied for the 13th fastest time for combine RB's. 13th out of 32
  17. I said this in the other thread, but if he doesn't work out at QB, we could use that speed at WR.
  18. Just being devil's advocate here: Benford, Peterson, Dodge, Fired Dickey, McCarney. He hired some good coaches too like Jones. Overall the W-L record over his tenure wasn't great. Factilities and donor base are one thing, but I think people(in general) remember the wins and losses a lot more. I would say Wren has both hired good coaches, and increased donor base/facilities. Wren also started with more. So I think there are two sides to every coin. Either way I'm excited for the future UNT athletics has.
  19. This makes me think he'll compete at WR if he can't cut it as a QB, similar to Chumley
  20. That would be a person who doesn't identity with the "standard" binary of male-female. They identify as another gender altogether. Like agender, genderqueer etc to name a few. There's a massive spectrum.
  21. As a proud alumnus of both MC and UNT it's pretty cool to know McCasland was so successful there first.
  22. I'm hoping Fulp is able to quicken his reads, while he was in the play a lot of the time, he looked a step slow, often making the tackle 4-5 yards downfield rather than at the LOS. His reads/reactions should improve over time. Seems to fit more of a downhill thumper role than a rangy guy. Solid depth this year for sure, here's hoping he can learn a lot from Ejiya/Garner.
