I have zero confidence whatsoever that English will play. I also think it's fairly sad that we are relying so much on one player to be a difference maker for us. I get that some guys are just more dynamic athletes/playmakers, but I'm fairly certain having English alone isn't going drop our PPG from 35 to 20 in one season.

Well Griffin would be a RS Freshman his first starting season(If the transition was from Fine to him, I like to think Martin or Pearson will take the reigns, but who knows)

Highly doubt that. Mainly because Littrell and probably Harrell would be gone by the time Griffin would start(if he even starts in the first place)

Well the issue all year(FCS/FBS/DII didn't make a difference) was that Reffett's defense puts corners on an island more often than not and our blitzes weren't getting home. If we can rush the passer more effectively our pass defense will improve significantly. When you give the QB 10 seconds in the pocket, no corner is going to be able to sustain coverage for that long.

Definitely agree. But that's what 6/19 signees? Let's get it to 12/19, then I'll feel a lot better about the recruiting as a whole. Impact players are good, impact CLASSES are better.

I just picked two schools that I recognized from the list on the bottom of the poster. I get that we're improving on who we're offering, but outside of a few players, we're not consistently winning recruiting battles against G5/Lower P5 competition. It has been improving, but not near the level of consistency we need to be a Boise State type program.

It's pretty well documented, that while playing Army has been great from an entertainment perspective, it has been worse for the team. Having to prepare for an unconventional offense that no other team on our schedule runs, while also dealing with the injury concerns that linemen/LB's face with all the blocking schemes of a triple option attack. I'm also still really salty about that Guyton hit last year that apparently wasn't targeting. Seriously F*** that guy

We seem to be continuing the trend of "We offer X player who only had FCS/D-II offers, but he's a great player because we offered him" It's been better, but if we're still competing against schools like Northwestern State and UTPB for recruits, that's an issue

So we're the only non-FCS school huh? That doesn't seem right. Didn't we do a camp with OU and Oregon last season? Edit: Nevermind just saw the OU sign, but my point still stands.

I have no doubt they're high on Brammer, but Mayfield is the starter for a reason. If the waiver doesn't go through, there's gonna be drop off(likely). I'm just saying I'm tired of seeing the depth be so shallow that if one guy doesn't play, it's the difference between 4 wins and 10 wins, and that's the way it seems sometimes with this staff.

I find it a bit worrisome that we are putting so much hope in a guy that may not even play next year. It's like we got Mayfield on offense and English on defense. Everything is riding on these guys being huge keys and we have no idea if they'll even play. No exactly a recipe for continued success.

I know we're counting on Jo Ozougwu to really step in, but we are pretty screwed at LB if Faison doesn't come in and make an immediate impact.

Said it before and I'll say it again, defense is still a monumental letdown and a couple games we pulled out last year, will not be pulled out the same way this year. 7-5

I know he's listed as the backup in the slow behind Lawrence, but I won't be surprised to see him spell Bussey some as well(essentially filling Smiley's role from last year). Or maybe even have true 4 wide sets with him/Lawrence/Darden in the slot.
