  1. F*** Me if true
  2. Tommy Tuberville had the highest rated recruiting class in Tech history and he didn't have "Texas Ties"
  3. I'm just equating him to being a great football coach. Shitty person, but good coach. Preston may not be a great player(not questioning that) but he's a good person. I'm saying I'd take 100 Ashton Prestons on my team over a single Shawn Oakman, Tevin Elliott, or Sam Ukwuachu. Wouldn't you agree?
  4. I mean one could argue that Quinn Shanbour isn't "very good" but by all accounts has been an incredible teammate and person. I haven't heard anything that would make me think any different of Mr. Preston. It's pretty shameful that you would rather lose players who "aren't very good" even if they have been upstanding teammates and people. You must be a huge fan of Art Briles. He sure did win a lot of football games.
  5. I think it's pretty good. Matt Wells is USU's ALL TIME LEADER IN WINS at 44-33. That school historically has been almost as bad as we are. He has an OC that has experience under Gary Pinkel(He was the OC for Chase Daniel and Blaine Gabbert) with stops under Leach and Oregon, so the offense fits, and he's had much better defensive numbers in arguably the most competitive G5 conference. He's been to 5 bowl games in 6 years and is responsible for 2 of the 3 ten win seasons at USU(and was the OC for the 3rd). Recruiting in the middle of nowhere with much bigger names to compete with in the state(Utah and BYU). Sounds like he fits Tech perfectly.
  6. Eh Maybe. Playing Devil's Advocate here they could've taken that picture on Sunday and he just waited to post it later.
  7. Good point. I'd say it's probably a bit of both.
  8. Interesting to being going after Mississippi JUCO players. Isn't Koonz's dad a coach at a JUCO in Mississippi? Edit: Yup http://www.holmesathletics.com/sports/fball/coaches/jkoonz?view=bio Probably helps in scouting all the better players in that league since he has to play them all.
  9. Or he's just doing in home visits like every other coaching staff in America?
  10. JD is trustworthy. His sources are reliable. There are also a few big time donors/insiders on the board that I won't name that are also reliable sources. Basically if it comes from him, it's accurate, or as close to accurate as you can get.
  11. Damn Gen Z ruining our country - A disgruntled Millenial
  12. Mainord over Harrell? Interesting.....
  13. The more I listen and learn about Billy Napier, the more I hope we hire him away if Littrell leaves. He comes from a solid background with stops under Saban and Todd Graham and his offense at UL is pretty prolific. He's another good ole boy and would be a seamless transition IMO. Edit: Here's the opening part of his press conference for UL. Pretty impressive
  14. Seems like TxST is trying to go the Offense route. Spavital is still questionable for me, but any of those guys would provide a prolific offense. I hope any decision anyone makes leaves UTSA in shambles. I hate that school, so the further down they are, the better.
  15. Pretty excited to see a Lee kid get an offer from us. None of our guys were good enough to get many offers when I was at Lee, so it's cool to see.
  16. Returning a Senior Fine and all WR's/RB's and we could have a worse record next year. You could argue that the team has regressed this year.
  17. Why don't we run a PA boot with Smith in the flat? Give Mason a chance to run or throw it
  18. Can we do the same with Harrell? I'd like to see Mainord call plays one game
  19. Man between this and Brett writing that Littrell was a candidate for Kansas a week after Les Miles was hired, I don't think I've seen the fanbase this mad at him.
  20. Hard to argue his results on offense. Baylor averaging 80 points a game. Goes to FAU, they average 80 points a game, leaves FAU and they're in shambles in comparison. Goes to Houston, THEY average 80 points a game. For a program that's already in the mud, at this point, what's to lose?
  21. Nah, he's too busy thinking about the next time he'll run the QB draw on 3rd and long.
  22. I saw where he was interviewing there. Is he for sure hired? Haven't seen anything on it
  23. Bump. IF Littrell wins his bowl game, he will have seasons of 5,9, and 10 wins. Bringing his three year average to *drumroll* 8 Wins a Year and of course if he doesn't win his bowl game, he'll be averaging 7.66667 wins per year.
  24. We shit the bed so many times on defense this year. Offensive play calling was awful in so many key spots. Blown lead after blown lead. We were exposed in the trenches all year and graduate two of our best DL, two best LB's, and the OL doesn't look like it will improve.
