Bowen is legitimately worse than Reffett. I didn't think it was possible but this a joke- 327 replies

DRC weekly prediction: UNT will stun SMU at Apogee
MGNation92 replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
We're doomed. We're gonna lose by 40+ -
SMU - 49 UNT - 35

Bringing up a thread from 13 years ago to compare Littrell to Dodge is bad. Littrell is miles ahead of TD, and if you remember correctly the McCarney defenses outside of 2013 weren't exactly lighting it up either.

Between this and the whole fiasco with Southern Miss, we should seriously be able to contend in the west. With La Tech being the main barrier

Bean's legs may be the difference in the game. Conversely, Bean's turnovers may also be the difference in the game.

‘21 TE Var’Keyes Gumms - Dekaney [SIGNED LOI]

Gumms and Christian Lee on the field at the same time. I feel bad for LBs/Safeties -
Should fans tweet at high school recruits?
MGNation92 replied to BillySee58's topic in UNT Football Recruiting
I typically will just like recruits tweets in regards to UNT stuff, choosing to not reply personally. That being said, I see hundreds of P5 fans tweeting at kids all the time, especially highly contested kids. If it gives us even an inch of an advantage, I want the entire kid's twitter feed filled with mean green fans. Untill the NCAA actually enforces it, go nuts. -
So I rewatched the game and I'm a lot more worried than I initially thought. They missed 3 field goals. If they make those it's a 23-19 game midway through the 3rd. They moved the ball consistently, our corners were beat deep multiple times, our safeties/LBs got beat up the seam multiple times. Bean made some questionable throws that are probably picked against an FBS team. I get they scored two TD's late to make it look more respectable but they were within 2 scores for the majority of the game. To me, that's reason to worry. I have a bad feeling about SMU if we play like we did against HBU.

I thought Bean looked good for the most part. He did make a few throws to the flat/quick out that probably should have been picked. His running ability is definitely dynamic. I think Littrell actually moved fast yesterday for the first time in 5 years. Made Bean's job easier with the quick reads I am concerned he'll turn the ball over more against FBS competition but I didn't get enough of Aune to really tell if he'll be any better. I don't care who starts as long as we keep winning

Yessir! Made a great adjustment for the TD. -
These are so clean. New white jersey with the classic arm stripes to match the green.

Awesome new source for Mean Green gear
MGNation92 replied to ScreamingEaglesFan's topic in Mean Green Football
Pretty much. The entire bottom floor is your standard athletic gear/shoes with a pretty sizeable bike department as well. The entire second floor is mostly hunting/camping/outdoors stuff. -

Agreed. Went in the store for the first time this past weekend and found a couple generic shirts tucked away in the furthest back corner. Not surprised. It's big and impressive but when you look at their actual selection it's not much better than most other sporting goods stores -
DRC: Aune, Bean to be listed as co-starters, per source

Maybe not a coach but fairly knowledgeable of the game -

Agreed. Also interesting to see Alex Morris third on that depth chart. I guess we'll have to see on the field what that actually looks like. Maybe some of our coaches can help explain @GMG24 @MeanGreenTexan -

Some positions of interest: Jake Roberts - True freshman starting at H-back Larry Nixon III - starting over Joe Ozougwu Makyle Sanders - moved to LB (sounds like the S/LB hybrid spot) Cam Johnson - moved to FS Rucker and Whitlock starting over Gaddie Still have no idea what to think about the OL. Hopefully Bloesch is the real deal. -

definitely a slight at last year's team. I definitely know DT worked his ass off and have nothing against him. -

Thompson also threw a game ending interception that cost us the game against UTSA and the west title(yes I know it was cold and miserable. I was there). He also had a much better defense around him, as well as a better O-Line/running game. Do we really want that kind of TD:INT rate with a questionable defense and a questionable OL? Mason Fine did just about all he could to win games, the rest of the team, however, did not. This team is closer to last year's team than it is 2013. I just want to win. If Bean throws 30 interceptions but we win 9 games I'll be ecstatic. History shows us that's almost never the case.
