  1. Looks like it's being specifically done to handle mass transfer exodus. IE when we have 10 players leave when Littrell is fired, the next coach will have a better ability to replace those guys in the next signing class
  2. It's overhyped in my opinion. It's a decent burger, but not worth the wait or the price. Much rather go to RG Burger or Burger Time Machine
  3. Not to mention a good chunk of those 10 are high level donors
  4. Unless there's an insane turnaround after the bye week, I don't think it gets any better. The kids are fighting and playing hard. It's become very clear that their head coach is not preparing them to win.
  5. Rooster's Roadhouse, Hoochies, Frilly's, RG Burger, Mr. Chopsticks are a few of my favorites
  6. Seriously. I originally thought 3-4 wins this year, but with Rice and UTEP doing well, I think we're in for a 2-10 season
  7. I'm POSITIVE Seth Littrell is gonna get fired this year. That's about all I got sorry
  8. Well alright then. Curious what your three would be. Briles is my top pick because I think he could retain Bennett, which would be a huge win for us. Carthel has won at multiple levels, and If he has another solid season at SFA I think he's definitely more than a "give up" Graham Harrell was the reason we had success in the last six years. I'd be wary of his defense, but it'd be nigh-guaranteed our QB/Offense would be prepared and efficient
  9. Put me down for Kendal Briles, Colby Carthel, or Graham Harrell. In that order
  10. Isn't he an option guy? Not saying it couldn't work but this offense has been recruited for the spread. Might be pretty rough the first few years
  11. Something else to think about: We've made some crossroads in recruiting in Nevada and have gotten some quality players. Moving to the MWC could play into adding more west coast players, as well as attracting Texas players who might want to travel and play west
  12. Another 30+ point loss and Seth Littrell still has his job somehow
  13. It's become ever so clear that Graham Harrell and Mason fine were the two biggest reasons Seth ever had any success here. I'd be fine giving him a shot at HC. We know our Offense/QB would be in good hands, especially if he runs a more pure version of Leach's offense. Briles would be similar. Leading some of the most dynamic offenses the NCAA has ever seen. (don't forget he was the OC at FAU when they embarrassed us in the championship game) Same with Yurcich and OK State. All of those guys arguably have more skins on the wall than Littrell when it comes to offense. Past those three, give me a guy that's won as an HC. At least at the FCS level. Carthel was great at TAMUCC, but we'll see how he is at SFA this season. Holtz would be the dream IMO. Consistently prepares his team, and is almost always in the conversation to win the division every year. Todd Monken is a name I haven't seen mentioned. He had great teams at Southern Miss and is now the OC at Georgia.
  14. I would love to be in the MWC. It helped turn TCU into a monster, and even though we'd be travelling further and playing later, the quality of teams would be so much better. There have multiple top 25 programs in the last 10 years and they have a rich basketball history. Even if they lost Boise it's still a much better conference overall than C-USA in my opinion. Couple that with the real possibility of adding regional basketball only schools like Gonzaga and we could be in a great spot. Better TV deals, more money, and better exposure. Basketball is already in the right spot, along with Olympic sports like Soccer/Volleyball/Track. We just need to can Littrell and get serious with football
  15. And Littrell teaching the companion course: Losing important games by at least 4 touchdowns
  16. Once he gets fired here, I guarantee you he'll get a P5 OC gig.
  17. The problem with the coaches show is the people who attend are typically the older crowd that donate a bunch of money. I used to attend them when I was recently graduated but no longer have the availability. I wish someone would ask a hard hitting question and I wish he would answer it honestly. It's just gonna be another hour of mumbling coach platitudes that do nothing for anyone, especially not a coach who's most likely gone by the end of the season
  18. And the excuses begin. If Littrell was worth a damn he'd say: "all of this is my fault, I didn't prepare the team to the standard of a winning football team and it completely falls on my shoulders as the head coach" But he's not, so he says this crap
  19. This is what we should be doing to Littrell. It's not about him. It's about the school and the program, and he's clearly not the one that should be leading it
  20. Littrell is done. He's lost his team, much like RV lost the Athletic Department. So I ask, if he isn't gone soon, do we work up a another banner? We finally got fed up with RV being awful, when do we do the same with our coach? What will it take? Another 50 point embarrassment to an FCS program? Absolutely awful coaching. This team is clearly unprepared, period.
  21. I'd be fine with it. Hell get Graham Harrell back as HC. Him and Mason are clearly the reason why we had any success in the Littrell era at all
  22. It's only a few of us. If he wins 6 games I'll be jumping for joy, but he won't. I'd love to be proven wrong
  23. I'm already here. Fire Littrell yesterday
  24. Meanwhile we have people who think we need to relegate ourselves to FCS in football in order to be successful. Art Briles will probably never coach FBS football again and that's fine, but if we want to actually make a name for ourselves, we need to find somebody who's had multiple years of success as an FBS head coach. Hugh Freeze had a lot of questions, and look where he's taken Liberty. There are several MAC and Sun Belt head coaches that have winning records after 4-5 years with their respective programs. Knowing our history, after another 4 win season, Wren will think the buyout for Seth is too high and let him stay to fail another year. If we don't want to be in the worst conference in FBS, then we need to make impactful hires that produce results.
