  1. Had to have been. Seth mumbling to the team about winning games and being selfless tough and disciplined only goes so far. Glad Dion and others stepped up. Hope we can have someone like that on the team next year
  2. Why can't we land an impact transfer at QB? Go get a guy that can actually throw the ball and has the stats/experience to back it up, not some no name FCS QB and a backup from LaTech. Seth is really gonna hedge his bets on a high school coach developing a quality D1 QB? Bold
  3. Passwaters for sure /s But in all seriousness, GH would be an immediate upgrade and would almost certainly give us a better chance at a higher profile transfer QB that can come in and start immediately. Only problem would be the balance of trying to implement the Briles veer and shoot vs the air raid. I would say he's a good enough OC to blend the two successfully but there might be a struggle to start
  4. Or Bloesch and Jospeh also chiming in saying hey remember that Baylor/Briles Offense a few years back? We want to do that, and we want you to be the QB that throws for a billion yards in an offense that snaps the ball every 15 seconds
  5. I don't have an ounce of faith in a single QB coach Littrell has hired after GH. I do have faith in Eric Morris. If Ward regresses from 4600 YDs, 47 TDs and 10 INTs to 3200 yards, 28 TDs and 8 INTs? Yeah I'll take that over anything we have on the current roster
  6. This kid would enter the QB room head and shoulders above the others. He would immediately become the best QB we've had since Mason. The good thing is that he's been coached up for a couple years, so he wouldn't be plagued with whatever "coaching" he receives from our QB staff.
  7. How dare you have high expectations. I mean this is NORTH TEXAS
  8. Sounds like all these kids with raw athleticism and talent aren't being coached up very well. Seems to be a recurring theme.
  9. Already got a P5 offer in Indiana. We need to jump on this kid immediately
  10. I don't fault the guy for hyping up his own son. Hell I'm convinced mine is going D1 and he's 9 months old.
  11. That would be difficult considering he just got hired as the OC for Washington State Also put me down for this kid. A transfer QB with an actual resume? Yes please
  12. It's also a bit dickish to come on a public forum and state how much more you know than everyone else because you're the father of one the Quarterbacks on the roster. I'm not going to hound Mr. Ruder anymore, just hope his son(or any QB for that matter) can help our team win next season. I'm still not confident in Littrell and his staff's development to produce a quality QB, regardless of how many guys they bring in.
  13. So is your son Jace Ruder going to be transferring again?
  14. Joe Letsche of the Ticket. He's a pretty diehard supporter and pretty vocal on social media about it
  15. Lol then tell us. Cryptic "insider" statements like this are useless. What we see on the field is the direct result of "what's going on within" and that's a mediocre football program
  16. Really feels like they're just recruiting a bunch of guys and hoping one will stick with no clear cut plan on development. I just want ONE semi-competent QB
  17. Because they should be. If expectations aren't high, then you get stuck with a coach who's still "building his program" in YEAR SIX.
  18. Yep. I wanted him gone last year too. Players don't matter if we can't coach them up.
  19. Alright a .500 career coach that has yet to win a bowl or conference championship and has questionable hires across the board that may be hindering the development of current/future players. How's that
  20. Competition is super stiff. Dykes and Samples are incredible recruiters Traylor is an incredible recruiter that knows every HS coach in the state McGuire is the same at Tech Jury's still out on Lashlee but SMU has been taking kids from us forever All the schools we compete against for fringe P5 players/solid 3 stars have arguably better recruiting staffs than we do, even with Walerius and Morris, and that's just in Texas Plus factor in we have a lame duck coach on the last year of his contract that has yet to win a bowl game or conference championship. We have a lot going against us right now
  21. I would weep tears of joy. Tired of being held down by a lame duck coach that's proven time and time again that he can't get us past the occasional bowl eligibility. If he left for a P5 OC job, I'd be first in line to volunteer to pack his bags.
  22. Our starting DT Dion Novil has been incredible for us. He's definitely got the size/athleticism to compete in the NFL. Outside of that I don't see anyone else being drafted. Maybe our RB Torrey goes undrafted to a team as a change of pace type back
