  1. So how about that transfer portal? Horrible diffusion aside, it should've always been a choice, the vaccine, masks, lockdowns all of it. One it became government mandated/forced it became tyrannical I'd gladly put on a mask around someone who asked or was uncomfortable, out of decency, but I don't wear one 99% of the time now. Whether or not the judge is unqualified is not the question at hand, it's the question of whether or not it was necessary in the first place, much like the large business mandate. I'm not arguing COVID isn't deadly, or shouldn't be taken seriously, but statistically speaking (there are always outliers, so miss me with your Anecdotes), unless you have a comorbidity or are 60+, it's not a deadly virus for MOST people. And to all the Trump supporters, he was the one who locked down the country in the first place. Don't think I'm defending your guy either
  2. It's solid for sure. Not an every day drink for me, but I like to buy a bottle every now and again to switch it up
  3. Been to Balcones multiple times, and enjoy their spirits often. The Single Malt is their flagship and is fantastic, albeit pricey. (to me it's sweeter than scotch, but not quite bourbon sweet) Both regular strength and cask strength rye's are solid Baby Blue is good, and their bourbon is so so IMO I actually really like Rumble which a different take on spirits but really interesting The tour/tasting is fun. Can definitely recommend
  4. At least they're leaning into it. Littrell is too busy finding "diamonds in the rough" to embrace anything NIL/Transfer Portal related, at least with significant impact. Why can't we get Jordan Case or Brint Ryan to give some of these highly sought after recruits some NIL deals? Maybe our next coach will be better in this aspect.
  5. At this point are we convinced Littrell is a brilliant OC anymore? I mean he's been in and out of calling plays the last couple of seasons and it hasn't been great. Couple that with subpar recruiting and bad coaching hires. He's just.....mediocre all around But then again I'm beating a dead horse about getting rid of him while our "rivals" (and actual rival UTSA) are blowing by us every day. It's just all around depressing
  6. At the end of the day, we've been hearing/seeing the same shit since 2019. I think as a collective fanbase we're over it
  7. To be fair, I think all our QB's are better than Greer, because he might possibly be the worst QB I've ever seen during my UNT fandom. Mini-Mac was serviceable to mediocre. Much like Aune All of our QB's have regressed since Harrell left, and now we have a career OL coach teaching them how to QB good. I was team Aune in 2020 when it was between him and Bean, and he's somehow gotten worse. All I'm saying is Littrell has his guy, and he's sticking to him, much like Grey Goose stuck with McNuggets. I just want to win either way so I'm hoping all of our QB's somehow make a massive leap with a QB coach with no QB coaching experience. Isn't the offseason fun?
  8. Wren just didn't want to be on the hook for two new head coaches heading into the AAC. We'll immediately be competitive in basketball and I'm looking forward to seeing Grant lead us there
  9. I get what you mean, but the key difference is Chase Daniel was a stud in college Coached by David Yost (paging @MeanGreenTexan), who is now the OC at FIU, while we have an OL coach teaching our QB's how to pull and attack the second level LB's on a power run. Littrell's management of the QB situtation post Fine/Harrell has been the downfall of our program. How do you not find a QB/QB Coach to reliably run your system for 4 years now? It's a joke.
  10. Austin Aune career completion rate: 52.8 Andrew McNulty career completion rate: 52.2 Aune just beats him by a hair but the point is they're both bad, and Seth is too stubborn to give someone else a shot regardless of how bad "his guy" is just like McCarney did with McNulty
  11. More of the first, but to a degree, I wouldn't mind seeing someone else anyways. We hit our stride because of our run game, not because of QB play. If we can get even a slight improvement at the position I'll take it. I can't count how many times I was ripping my hair out at games because Aune couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Especially in the bowl game. Miami stuffed our run game and he couldn't make it up in the passing game. Meanwhile Gabbert on the other end was tearing us apart. Obviously I want the best player to start, I'm just hoping it'll be someone else.
  12. Based on what I've seen and heard I'd prefer Earle were starting, but at this point I hope Ruder overtakes Aune as well. Basically anybody but Aune. Don't have anything against him, but we know what he is and what he isn't. Give somebody else a shot
  13. Lots of quick one read throws but he looks good in this game. Hope he gets a shot of starting. The Air Raid/ Veer and Shoot have a lot of 1/2 read plays. Read option with a bubble screen outlet or vertical route to take the top off the defense. The devastation comes from the ability to run the play in 15 seconds every time. Simple but effective. Hopefully they take this heart and let someone like Early flourish. The accuracy is definitely there
  14. If we're beating out these schools, the AAC better watch out for Seth!
  15. No, but how many times have we had an impactful player be lost for the season under the staff? Seems like it happens every year, at different positions. Tearing an ACL can be a freak accident but lets not kid ourselves that S&C doesn't have an impact on injury rates. Womack has been here since the beginning, and it hasn't been good.
  16. Worst possible outcome? Littrell does just enough to stay another year and we limp into the AAC, winning 3 games in our first year and Wren finally pulls the trigger
  17. The sad reality is that I'd rather have McNulty over anything we've seen so far from this QB room. Maybe Head or Stone show something, but since Mason we have not found a quality D1 starter
  18. Honestly, it sucks having the twins gone, but how many times did we talk about them making a play, then having a drive breaking penalty the next? Bennett makes a good point. A 10 yard sack is great, but if you commit a 15 yard personal foul the next play, does it even matter? Maybe there is some hope. Only time will tell.
  19. Well she was a water girl for the 2012 Baylor Bears, that's a WR coach position at minimum for Seth
  20. Titanic, Hindenburg, Chernobyl. Any horrendous disaster fits here IMO. Take your pick
  21. So now we've got son in law, and his son on staff? Holy nepotism. Sam's been only on the offensive side of the ball his entire career outside a one year stint with Irving HS. I get we're trying to keep Bennett on staff and I'm all for it considering our rapid defensive improvement last year, but I'm concerned about losing 3 of our best D-Lineman and Tyreke. I guess we'll get to see the coaching prowess of Passwaters shine through /s and hope to God it doesn't blow up in our face. Some on here are convinced our schedule is a shoe-in for 8 wins. With this staff, our transfers/graduations, and no real QB coach/OC since Graham? It feels like I'm watching the Hindenburg fire up it's engines.
  22. Something to consider about adding baseball as well are Title IX implications. Does that tip the scales in favor of Male sports? If so, what female sport do we add to compensate?
  23. I saw three wrecks on the way to work this morning(Frisco to Irving) and it's supposed to get worse tomorrow. I love the mean green, but I'm not gonna die on the Lewisville toll bridge/380 to go see us beat Southern Miss by 20. Call me a fairweather fan, but I don't really care.
