  1. As yes the the wonderful "but the other side does it" argument. Republicans, Democrats, doesn't matter, they're all getting kickbacks from the military industrial complex and this is another example. Every war is "justified" as long as the State is getting paid. And you wanna talk genocide? Lets talk about the actual genocide in Yemen that's been going on for the better part of the last 20 years. Something both parties have agreed to fund (through Saudi Arabia mainly, another Ally). Here's an idea. Let's cut the military budget, and stop spending money on wars that we shouldn't be a part of in the first place.
  2. Makes me sleep well at night knowing $40 billion of our tax dollars are supporting a war instead of helping actual Americans. All democrats voted for it (except for those that chose to abstain). Those sweet Lockheed/Northrup Grumman/Raytheon kickbacks are just too enticing, even for the commies.
  3. No matter the QB we're gonna be okay because we have a QB coach who excels in zone blocking schemes teaching them high low progressions. What could go wrong?
  4. Wish some of our defensive transfers had 20+ P5 offers out of high school....
  5. I transferred in the spring as a sophomore and spent 2.5 years in dorms until I graduated, and I loved every minute. Made a ton of friends and was involved in a lot of intramurals/organizations and was well worth it IMO. Made it feel like home
  6. Our offense should be extremely simple. If we're going the Briles route there's maybe 25-30 plays? Hell Leach runs like 20 and Seth is a disciple. If this playbook is too complicated, it's because we have bad coaches.
  7. Worried about our tackle situation, but our interior will be very solid with Mose, Blair, and Carroll
  8. It's crazy to think Littrell has now brought in THREE QB's in one recruiting cycle. I get there's some roster building behind it, but this tells me just how little faith he has in Aune/Ruder, which is sad I wish I could get more excited about this transfer, but I just don't trust the staff to make good decisions with the QB position. It's been a dumpster fire since GH left. Bodie Reeder was awful for Fine's last year. Mason was just THAT good to still put up decent numbers.
  9. It's almost like it's poor coaching or something. I know what'll fix it though. Getting a lifelong OL coach to coach QB's! That'll definitely fix the problem
  10. A few key players, but they still return a lot. Plus they're getting P5 transfers every other day while we're getting PWO's and D2 kids.
  11. This exactly. Where would nUTSAck if they still had Frank Wilson this year? It's the same thing. Instead they brought in Traylor, lit the world on fire, and are poised for future success in a bigger conference. Meanwhile we have a coach relying entirely on an semi retired DC (albeit a good one) to win him games because he can't figure out what kind of offense he wants to run, and can't find a QB to run it anyways. I'd prefer a 2-10 2022 with a new guy like Traylor way more than 6-6 with Littrell in his seventh year.
  12. Because JUCOs have a lot of FBS/FCS bouncebacks. D2 guys are D2 for a reason. Top level JUCOs could have 10-20 guys on the roster that were former FBS recruits. And a lot of JUCO players that aren't bouncebacks are only there for grades, otherwise they'd be in an FBS program. They're then recruited to FBS/FCS schools after a year or two of getting their grades in order.
  13. Bunch of softball questions. I get it. You want these guys to come back so you're nice, but let's hear a question on why he can't find a QB that throws better than 50% or why he can't find a decent QB coach or why he can't beat winning teams. Stuff like this already makes me more pessimistic than I am. Littrell mentions his frustration with the transfer portal and NIL not having any rules. SO WHY AREN'T YOU TAKING ADVANTAGE LIKE THE OTHER SCHOOLS ARE. No excuses my ass. Get out there and do something, you're the freaking head coach. Be proactive, not reactive for once. They're called diamonds in the rough for a reason. They're few and far between, and they're damn sure not how you build a complete football team.
  14. It's a parity game, as well as a numbers game There are many D2 schools that could play and compete with D1 in basketball. Hell even "lower" mid majors make buzz every year and I don't think the competition is that much greater. Couple that with basketball having 13 guys, when you have one stud D2 transfer it makes a bigger impact Now look at football, is a D2 school EVER going to compete with a legit FBS school? Probably not, and the score wouldn't even be close. The football roster has what, 85 guys? One guy, unless he's an all world QB, isn't gonna make as big of a difference. And yeah, I trust Mac a hell of a lot more than I trust Littrell. One of them is a winner, the other lucked into the greatest QB we've ever had and can't replicate any of his past success Mac is reloading and winning year after year. Littrell is just doing his best not to get fired.
  15. Hey at least we're stepping up from D3 to D2! Seth is making moves y'all
  16. Like bad coaching hires, inability to find a QB, questionable strength and conditioning program, bad recruiting etc. Players leaving is just another piece of the puzzle
  17. Players aren't stupid. They see the writing on the wall. Our first few years in the AAC with a new coach might be rough until we get a more established roster
  18. Don't worry, we're gonna pickup some real playmakers from D3 South by NorthWest State Technical college. Seth is playing 4D interdimensional space chess while we're just playing checkers
  19. I saw them with my mom in Dallas a few months back. Don even mentioned them meeting at NTSU. Pretty cool
  20. Those AAC boys won't know what hit them with all our *checks notes* FCS transfers!
  21. Warning - Rant incoming It should always be about personal risk/reward ratio. I'm 29, fairly fit, and don't go out much other than to work and the store. I'm not particularly worried about the virus. Now my parents who are in their late 60's and smoked the majority of their lives (both have since quit thank God) might be more fearful of it, and rightfully so. When the government starts imposing punishments for being unvaccinated or not locking down, it forces an artificial risk/reward system that trumps your own. Do this or go to jail is usually the end equation with most laws. I could not wear a seatbelt, and if I get in an accident then I face the consequence of that action. When the State decides the consequence for me, the choice is no longer as easy because I have a proverbial gun pointed to my head while making the choice. The government is the most selfish. They don't do anything that doesn't help them, and if you're not in that class, then you're the one getting screwed. Rules for thee but not for me. People act like the "greater good" must be decided by the government, and that's the problem. It doesn't affect them. They're not getting fired for mask mandates, they're giving themselves raises. So while we're arguing about masks, the fed is printing trillions of dollars, Congress is giving themselves more money we don't have(if you want to know true inflation look at the % salary increase Congress gives themselves every year) and they're spending it on pointless wars, draconian drug enforcement, and bailing out massive corporations. Meanwhile wages for normal people have stagnated, nobody can afford to buy a home while corporations like blackrock and vanguard buy up properties left and right, driving up prices and pushing normal people out of the market. Then inevitably when another pandemic hits or the housing market crashes, the "benevolent" government will give us $50 and a stick of gum, and tell us it'll be alright while they continue crushing us with stupid and useless laws. Bailing themselves and their corporate interests out while we all suffer. Maybe people act selfishly because they know none of it matters anyways. Take care of your family and yourself because that's what truly matters TL;DR - F**k the government.
  22. Agreed. Police have been targeting minority communities forever, doesn't mean they won't shoot a white guy and his dog if they're having a bad day. There is no law so obscene that the police would not be willing to enforce it, up to and including the mass execution of innocent children. 29 years since Waco. Tyranny is anything imposed upon an individual from which they have no consent. Gun Laws, Abortion Laws, The Drug War, Taxation, Mask Mandates, Vaccine Mandates etc Privilege certainly plays a role in how some laws are enforced, but we're all being screwed one way or another by a bunch of people that couldn't give a damn about any of us
  23. You'd be surprised how often republicans think I am one because I'm pro freedom and individual rights. Just have to let them know I think they're authoritarians as well. To quote Michael Malice: Conservatives are just Progressives driving the speed limit
  24. You're right, how's the boot taste? I take it you prefer the blue flavor over the red?
