  1. I graduated in August. Have yet to receive an effort towards reaching out to me., and I suspect it's the same for the majority of recent Alumni. I would donate if someone reached out to me, if they were interested in me. But I don't make 7 figures a year so I don't matter right? There's an average graduation rate of 47%(Approximate) of students at UNT, this means 17,390 students graduate on a yearly basis, the 2015 graduate rate are $25, many of which could give more(I know I could). That comes out to $435K in donations from recent grads alone. But we aren't big money donors so who gives a crap right? My only complaint is that the AD hasn't reached out to young alumni early and often, and therefore don't generate nearly as much interest. I wonder what our home games would look like if the AD had reached out to everyone that had graduated soon after their graduation dates? 2011 grads would be paying $125 each, and at 17k students that's a cool $2.1 million in donations. Enough to buyout a crappy head coach when we fire him midseason. But nah, it's not 6 figures plus per person. So who cares?
  2. To be fair, this is only current MGC members. I've never been once contacted by anybody to ask if I want to donate.
  3. Were they really? That's the first I heard about a "counter" banner. Do we know what it would've said??
  4. Step 1: Win Step 2: See Step 1
  5. Would be happy with either one of these guys.
  6. It would be a wet dream seeing him being developed in a vertical air raid system with his arm strength. I can see why he was so highly touted coming out of high school, dude has one thing you can't teach, and that's having a cannon as a right arm. Timing and touch come with proper coaching, and a good system in place.
  7. You immediately lost all credibility using the word hella
  8. Even then, with the wrong staff, Bethune-Cookman might come in and hang a 50-burger on us in Apogee
  9. At least its not Permian. I went to Lee
  10. Always good to meet a fellow West Texan, I was born and raised in Midland. I can understand where you're coming from. I would much rather him than lil' Briles
  11. Didn't know he was from Muleshoe. The gem of West Texas
  12. This. Both Wilson and Ivery should be the featured duo going forward for the next 2+ years. They've shown to be tremendously effective runners in Chico's spread offense, where as Jimmy was better in Mac's stone age offense, and we are(fingers crossed) not going back to that philosophy ever again.
  13. I said it in the other topic on this and I'll say it again. I can guarantee she is being praised by many students/faculty. The social/political agendas pushed in various schools are ridiculous and overtly liberal at times. It was a breath of fresh air being in the college of business every day.
  14. BREAKING NEWS SCOTT FROST TO BE HIRED AS THE NEW HEAD COACH AT NORTH TEXAS
  15. I can guarantee you she is being celebrated by countless students and faculty. It was a breath of fresh air walking in the business building every day as compared to the social/political agendas I saw pushed in other schools around the University.
  16. Or he dances in the backfield 90% of the time and gets dropped for a loss rather than cutting and hitting the hole like Wilson. That might have something to do with it
  17. For those who believe lil' Briles will be anything like Kingsbury as Tech. Tech has literally run the exact same system since Mike Leach got there in 2000, Kingsbury was a QB in that system. For the past 15 years Tech's main selling point has been their offense. They have recruited to that offense, and know what to expect from their recruits year in and year out. Kingsbury was basically handed the same system he ran when he played, and I would say that gave him a much easier time selling to recruits and finding a staff because A) the recruits have known the system for years, and B) the staff has run it for years. This, in my opinion has made Kingsbury's job infinitely easier, and yet he has been mediocre. If we hired Briles, it would take him years to implement a system than UNT has never run to my knowledge (Air raid, which is different that a conventional spread attack). As of now we have no identity, and he would have to work his ass off to establish an identity similar to the one Tech has had for years. He will NOT have the luxuries gifted to him that Kingsbury did.
  18. In reference to Briles. I would say @Mean_Green09 has been pretty spot on with his sources, so I'm gonna trust what he has to say on that.
  19. Yeah I would love to hear some of these names too.
  20. Todd Dodge - Southlake Carroll -Great offensive mind -Massive talent pool to accumulate great players -Fantastic booster support -Inherited a successful program(won three state titles before he got there, had very few losing seasons) -Helped create a nationally recognizable program Kendal Briles - Baylor -Great offensive mind -Massive talent pool to accumulate great players -Fantastic booster support -Brought a terrible program from the ashes(One can attribute the majority of this to his father though, so it's hard to find where to place credit here) -Helped create a nationally recognized program This situation looks oddly familiar...
  21. Especially while competing for Big 12/National Titles every year
  22. Speaking of black, wtf happened to our kick ass black uniforms? I thought surely they would dust em off for halloween but nope. Kinda disappointed that we have them, but haven't used them at all this season
  23. It actually is the shocker, just with the fingers more spread apart. you know what they always say "two in the (rhymes with blink), one in the (also rhymes with blink). Edit: Just trying to keep it PG on GMG
  24. I always knew the clouds were plotting against us....
