  1. Not sure what David Cronenberg has to do with Jarrett Stidham but if it gets him here I'm all for it.
  2. Gives me chills just thinking about it. That defense was a force to be reckoned with.
  3. Anything is better than the Cosh dumpster fire of last year. Ekeler and Reffett are gonna have these guys flying, creating havoc, and hitting guys in the mouth. It'll be fun to watch on both offense and defense
  4. Hank blocked me on Twitter after I badmouthed McCarney. Said something about that stupid barbecue from Iowa Mac always had catered every year and I said this is Texas, we don't need Iowa barbecue, don't we have enough Iowa here already? boom. Blocked. From His Bio: "Dickenson has oversight of the department’s external units, including business development initiatives (marketing, sponsorship and promotions), athletics communication, and assists with certain development efforts, such as event planning and naming rights opportunities." Marketing and promotions are pitiful, communications from the athletic department are often poorly written and contain numerous grammar and spelling errors. If you think otherwise then you're just fooling yourself. The man has direct oversight over these things, and yet these are the things that the Athletic department is notoriously bad at
  5. It's really disheartening and sad realizing how much McCarney actually screwed us. Not only did he lose his team, and the players. He lost the next few years for us due to his ineptitude at managing an FBS roster I hope the margaritas are good. Good riddance
  6. I've said it once and I'll say it again. John Nitardy is about as useful as teets on a boar
  7. I don't think that's entirely true. If I was a running back in Mac's offense I would've been having a field day. Guaranteed 30 carries a game
  8. Kinda like Derek Thompson. Not otherworldly speed by any means, but he can tuck it and run when needed
  9. What's creed up to these days? They seem hip. I'm sure they would gladly come and play at Apogee
  10. I think a lot of that will be solved with Ekeler's recruits/defense. He's bringing in kids that can fly. I will not be surprised if we are much better prepared for Davis this time around
  11. Almost certain this is about him
  12. I'm all for having 30 corners on the roster, but it seems like we're putting way too much emphasis on the secondary with little news on the D-line front. Especially DT, where I think we're weakest. In Ekeler we trust I suppose. Still makes me a little nervous
  13. So where do you have your Shanbour Shrine @UNTLifer? I personally have my setup in my garage, the cavernous space really echo my praises
  14. I'm gonna trust our resident recruiting Guru. Not a sock puppet account
  15. I wouldn't be surprised, they got what, a whole 3 reps between them in the spring game? That's gotta be an obvious sign at what the staff thinks. Both looked clueless and Chumley looked like he barely knew how to throw a ball.
  16. Not much. I think he came in and lit up the spring game and opened a few eyes to his abilities including the coaching staff. I think Littrell and Co. put themselves between a rock and hard place by naming Morris the de-facto starter before really evaluating everyone over a spring/fall. I trust them to make the best decision for the team, and I would not be surprised if it was Shanbour.
  17. Yeah Mr Mailbox is quickly reaching douchebag status. You can disagree with someone and not be an asshat
  18. I would say so. The stats also agree with me: Morris 261 yds 3 TD's 2 INT's Shanbour 315 yds 3 TD's 1 Rushing TD(not to mention probably 40-50 rushing yards)
  19. Right, coming from a coaching staff that was known for developing and evaluating talent. The same staff that thought Josh Greer was a viable starter Morris also had the 1st team offense and Shanbour had the 2nd team offense. Apples to apples
  20. If you're intelligent(which I believe Shanbour is) you can be on the shorter side and learn to be successful. Here are a few successful shorter QB's: Fran Tarkenton, Drew Brees, YA Tittle, Joe Theismann, Doug Flutie, Sonny Jurgensen, Len Dawson, Michael Vick, Troy Smith(college only), Russell Wilson, Johnny Manziel(college only), Seneca Wallace, and the list goes on. Vito and others are pushing the narrative of Allen, Alabama, 6'3 therefore he must be our savior. I think it's fair to say Shanbour kicked Morris' ass in the spring game and a lot of people don't want to admit that because Morris is THE GUY. give me accuracy, quick release, and ability to run all day. I don't think height and a slightly better arm justify him being preseason 1st team all-cusa as some have already crowned
  21. You're only saying that because you're part of the Quinn Shanbour fan club. Get over it 90, even if he is better suited for this offense he's still only 6'0". We should just give up hope. Ironically enough everyone used to talk about how McCarney would recruit guys that were 6'4" 240 but couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with a football. Morris is much more accurate than Mac recruits, but the size thing seems to be the only thing Vito knocks Shanbour for. Give me a legitimate reason as to why he wouldn't be as good or better in this offense. I'd be willing to bet there are few and far between that could
  22. This statement alone tells me he shouldn't be within 500 miles of an AD position because all of these sucked ass under RV
  23. Sweet first post brah
