Make no mistake. Morris is good. Fine has the brightest future of any North Texas qb I can remember. Littrell isn't Mac. If Fine is the guy, he's the guy, regardless of height. I'm more intrigued for next year when(if he honors his commitment) Cade Pearson comes in, and how those two compete

Right I knew that. Guess my comment was a bit misspoken, they both laughed, but laughed in a "of course he's that good" kind of way.

I was there tonight. Got lucky in my seat in that Alec Morris and Fred Scott sat directly in front of me. Both seemed like humble leaders. Someone in the crowd asked Seth in between segments how Fine was looking, Seth looked at Morris and asked "You think 6 will be good?" and they both just laughed. Alec then turned to me and said "If he was 2 inches taller he'd have an offer from every school in the country, because he can rip it" straight from the horses mouth they know what we have in Fine. Scott seemed a lot more confident in their ability to key in on Davis this time around. Pretty packed house. Wren was there along with Hank, Reggie, Mike Smith and John Nitardy that I could recognize from the AD. Idk why, but John Nitardy just pisses me off every time I see him. Everyone seemed to be in a good mood. Excited for the season to get started. I'm also probably about 5 pounds heavier than I was 3 hours ago

Sid Moore is definitely a DE in this defense. To be an effective NT he would have to pack on another 30+ pounds Surprised Robinson is ahead of Rutherford though -
3-3-5 will put more speed on the field. Better able to spy Davis from multiple looks with better athletes. Also, I wouldn't be surprised to see us hang 30+ on Saturday. We mightve been the worst defense in FBS last year. Yall forget SMU wasn't too far behind us in terms of suckage.

Johnny Manziel lit up the SEC in a similar offense at 5'11". If he continues on this trajectory and packs on a little more weight Mr Fine could very well be our Johnny Football (minus all the douchebaggery)
-
Isn't the 4-2-5 similar to the 3-3-5? I mean it seems to me that we'll be having wheeler come off the edge often leaving only two "true" linebackers in Finney and Scott. Idk, just my thoughts Anyways I predict UNT in a shootout UNT - 40 SMU - 38

MGB video/camp-ending thoughts (Littrell gives camp thoughts)
MGNation92 replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
I think that's why he hired guys that know what they're doing, unlike Mac. Ekeler, Reffett, and LeBlanc are all very experienced, Nate Brown is the only relatively green coach on that side of the ball. We saw Young's potential last year, add in Hood and TJ with Jarrian and Dilonga starting at DE. I think the D-Line will surprise a lot of people and as @GMG24 said I wouldn't be surprised to see slanting and stunting damn near every play -
Cade Pearsons near record setting week one.

Really hope he stays under the radar. This kid can absolutely sling it -
Main argument here is that Nick Saban can slap down his championship rings to a 5 star recruit and that recruit will say "to hell with the locker rooms, I'm gonna get me one of these' North Texas meanwhile is battling with Southern Miss for a 3 star guy and that recruit could say "well i like both schools, but Southern Miss knows whats up with that locker room" and boom, committed to USM.

Littrell/Ekeler seems to have nothing but praise for him. I would imagine the staff and team probably have good reason to put their faith in him
-
Seems like a good group to lead this team Edit: Shoutout to my adopted son, Kishawn McClain. They grow up so fast :')

Nothing but good things have been said about Fine since he got here. I would be very comfortable with him as our QB. Excited to see what he looks like after a year in a legitimate college strength training program

They've only been caught cheating a handful of times Most of them are able to keep the jobs they get because of daddy Craig James could have killed a lot more hookers -
Every scrimmage/practice I've seen he's calling the plays

I personally prefer Rooster's. Bet the house and Metzler's are also good
