  1. Well someone has to unseat Reinhardt considering he's done with football due to a back issue.
  2. Maybe one of these days our line will be good enough to actually run empty sets
  3. I think with Evan Johnson and Tre Siggers you could see them both in the backfield and the slot. There's a lot of versatility there. Looks like we'll be set at the "A" position for a while. Hoping one of these guys turns into a Welker/Amendola/Trent Taylor player for us. Near-automatic first downs are huge
  4. If either one could be half the player Brelan was I'd be ecstatic. Especially in this offense where underneath routes and YAC are so important
  5. Doesn't look like the roster has been updated yet to include these players
  6. I don't recognize some of the names on these lists. For instance, who's Ja. King #80? Never seen that one before
  7. GEORGE SOROS AND THE GLOBALIST SHILLS
  8. I'm just pointing out the fact that Seth Littrell has been subpar when it comes to recruiting, especially when battling for kids with other FBS offers. I'm not making up crazy conspiracy theories about how Wren Baker is in bed with the Russians and colluding to create an army of complacent athlete bots that will dismantle the AD from the inside using sporks from the cafeteria. Seth Littrell's recruiting is bad. Period.
  9. Another example of a recruit with another FBS offer committing elsewhere.
  10. I unsubscribed to Underdog Dynasty because it seems like 3/4ths of their staff is UTSA writers, so they post 10 UTSA articles a month and 1 UNT article every other month if we're lucky. Tired of seeing articles about what Frank Wilson is eating for breakfast so I stopped reading. You are right though. UNT is shooting themselves in the foot with recruiting. I wouldn't be surprised to UTSA competing for a conference title in 2 years while we struggle to get 6 wins.
  11. Before we talk about too many wins, let's get to a bowl game without having to use our APR score first.
  12. Shhh. Don't say that too loud. The "Seth Littrell Farts rainbows and poops gold" crowd might hear you. Now there's no excuse. Here's where we truly see if Littrell and Co. can recruit, or if we're gonna continue signing guys that only have FCS offers because we can't beat out any other FBS schools.
  13. Makes me curious as to why these kids don't have any contact? Seems like those with talent, even in the most remote situations, would still get contacted. I mean there's a kid in Seminole, Texas(middle of nowhere) that got numerous P5 offers and is committed to UT. This day in age it's incredible that anyone would get overlooked
  14. I'm genuinely curious as to what you mean by this. Do you mean FCS D1? FBS? Do coaches wait to offer until we do because they're that much better than other staffs identifying talent?(Looking at you Tulsa). I promise I'm not being sarcastic. I just don't know what you mean
  15. I think it is entirely reliant on our OL play. I'm gonna say 6-6 but 7-5 is possible. I think we will be on a very thin line between 7-5 and 4-8
  16. I think this camp was more useful in getting as many area high schools in the building at once. While we did come out with some good evaluation/offers yesterday, more kids will go back to their teams and coaches and talk about how great UNT is, opening more doors for the future. Word of mouth travels fast
  17. Still didn't commit to UNT......
  18. Hell yeah. I'm pumped to see them
  19. Maybe that's why they didn't get many FBS offers and Littrell took a chance? Could possibly open the door for other blue shirt help, or we could save the scholarships they would take for the 2018 class. I think our depth at the DL is fairly stable so I don't think it hurts us too badly
  20. Just saw this on twitter and I'm curious if anyone knows when we'll be revealing our new uniforms? I've heard rumblings of us getting new uni's this season(thank God if it's true), but this sort of thing gets people excited for the season when it's slow. Would help in recruiting too Edit: Looks like they revealed these monstrosities on July 30th, 2015. Wonder if we'll get something around then?
  21. Right? I find it hilariously ironic that a guy we offered early gets 10 more offers but still doesn't commit to UNT and people say "BUT I THOUGHT WE COULDN'T RECRUIT. LOOK AT ALL THESE NEW OFFERS" Actually, you just proved my point but okay. Edit: I realize it's June and kids will get a lot of offers between now and signing day. My point is to win the recruiting battles with the kids we want and keep them regardless of new offers.
  22. To start off this post I'm gonna post @BillySee58's post from a previous thread as it summarizes the issue quite well With that I'd like to add a few points: 1. It's not a bad thing to offer kids early, hell if we're the first one to offer them, then they get 10 more FBS offers And they commit to us, I'm all for it. 2. More often than not, kids with only one FBS offer don't fare as well in the FBS game, why? They're not bad players. They don't suck. They clearly have skills to at least contribute at a FCS/DII level at worst, and maybe, to a degree at the FBS level. However, history has shown that FBS staff do not offer these kids for one reason or another, and there's typically a good reason as to why they didn't. 3. I will never criticize a player that chooses UNT. I am ecstatic for the players that want to continue their careers here and be a part of something special. This does not, however, warrant anyone to believe that because a particular player commits to us, this staff is doing a good job at recruiting as a whole. 4. If the staff cannot consistently win recruiting battles with fellow C-USA/SBC/AAC schools, the UNT football program will continue to show subpar results on the field. You cannot out-scheme higher quality talent on a consistent basis. 5. I'm done ranting about the whole recruiting issue, so for anyone that wants to refute or disprove anything I've said. Say it here, not sarcastically in another post about myself or others that share the same mindset. We offer a kid with no offers? Okay. He gets 15 more offers? Great. Get him to commit to the University of North Texas after those 15 offers and I guarantee you all of the naysayers will gladly shut the hell up. Until then. We have a lot of work to do.
  23. Okay. Get him to commit. Doesn't mean shit if he goes somewhere else.
  24. It's not that they can't recruit. It's that they can't consistently compete with other FBS schools for quality recruits. Sure Gage is one, but most of our other commits have little to no FBS offers. If we could land a few more like Gage, then I would be a lot happier.
  25. I definitely like this kid better than all the others I've seen so far. He's got a compact release, good size, strong arm, and pretty good feet/speed. Get this kid committed now!
