My point is, I don't think they were given the option of rings, whether it was by HOD Bowl committee or UNT. The choice of no choice.

RV's ineptitude is what took so long. They originally got watches for the HOD bowl win.

Littrell just said Darden was questionable to play, but wouldn't be surprised to see him out there. Glad to see he didn't tear anything, it looked really bad.

I find that interesting as well. I wonder how many of them expect us to come out in a 2TE 2RB Set and run Power/Counter 20 times each in the game.

Our DLine has contained the run very well this season. Up until the fourth quarter in Iowa where they were completely worn down.

I think 7-5 is our absolute ceiling. I put 6-6 though as it seems more realistic. Losses to SMU, Iowa, UTSA, LaTech, Army, Southern Miss

So basically we just have to hope to God we never get to 3rd down ever. If we can do that, we'll be alright.

The all too familiar trend with Air Raid teams. Score fast, leave your defense out on the field for a long time. Not to mention our 3rd down efficiency both ways is horrendous right now.

These uniforms looked so good against Iowa. They were super bright and crisp. In fact, they almost seemed too white at times, like the sun might reflect off the helmet and burn my eyes through the TV bright white.

I trust the coaches when they say the DL is our best position group, especially with English in the fold, but I'm concerned about the longevity. I think the next two games will tell us a lot more how we'll do in league play. Going into the bye week at 3-2 would be huge, especially with UTSA coming to town the following week. Hoping our guys can stay consistent, and consistently healthy

Except against the pro-style teams. UTEP ate our lunch last year, and so did UTSA. I get they're the exception, not the norm in our league, but I think that'll be telling on our season. If Reffett's defense can hold the point of attack consistently for 4 quarters against teams that want to shove it down your throat.

I think our highlight video tells the tale of two halves all too well. Almost the entire thing consisted of first half highlights. That's what truly scares me the most about this team. We come out with our hair on fire against SMU and Iowa then can't sustain it. If we can't have any sort of full game consistency, it'll be a long season.

Especially in El Paso of all places.

Won't be surprised to see them leave at 3-1. Until we get some consistency anywhere I don't have any confidence in this team.
